Here we go, the first video of 2017, and it's about...2017. And also 2016. It's kind of an experimental vlog where I reflect back on the past year and look ahead to the new one. Also, my mom makes a cameo. My mom is the best.
I originally had an additional section in there where I talked about my own experience with 2016, but I cut it for pacing reasons.
Basically, I felt like I spent most of 2016 coasting, waiting for pojects to sell (that have yet to sell), and not woking as hard as I should have. I guess that's natural in the sixth year of making YouTube videos. Anyway, in the break I took between August and November, I reevaluated my filmmaking plan, decided to make weekly videos again, and then it obviously paid off and has been going great. Unfortunately, right around that time the world became a terrifying hellscape and so my enthusiasm for the work I'm doing was somewhat tempered by my fear of what's to come.
So as for 2017, as long as we don't all die in a nuclear war or the internet doesn't get shut down, I think it will be great year for the work we're doing. This past week I've been going over the plan for the year and I've already got 32 videos on the schedule.
We're going to hit 100,000 subscribers this year. I can feel it.
As always, thank you for supporting what we're doing. This is going to be the best year we've ever had.
