This is so awesome! What a great bunch of friends you and your wife have! Hope school is coming along well for you! Happy Halloween - OH! & before I forget, HUGE THANKS to you and your wife for your review of Trick r' Treat! As always I love how you both touch on all aspects of the film making process, but mostly for giving this wonderful movie it's due! I've loved this film for years now and like the two of you generally watch it around now but it's also a guilty pleasure watch too at other times lolol. I agree wholeheartedly with you on the bus story but also took the young girl's retelling of it in the way someone that child's age would tell a story/local legend like that - I believe your wife touched on this as well but might have misunderstood - my apologies if so.
However, when viewed with this in mind, it does work (for me) because a child retelling something like that, especially that young "queen bee type" girl, they would add or embellish the story for maximum effect so to speak, adding details that weren't necessarily true but did add to the overall 'scariness' of the tale. Do you think perhaps that's what the director/writer was trying to go for? Or did I just interpret it that way to make it fit better for me while watching it?
Either way I was so stoked you gave this movie it's due! It's a great little movie and I truly encourage everyone to check it out as well! A little mostly overlooked gem, that many people haven't seen before! Thank you both again for reviewing it!
🎃👻🦇 Happy Halloween Everyone!!!
