Chapter 7 45-49

Last update pretty much went over everything that's been impeding me lately. Transitioning from working 15-20 hours a week to 32-40 has been rough, and settling in to my job duties has taken a lot more out of me than initially anticipated. I'm sorta developing a new daily routine, though. Plus the holidays happened and that's generally not a super great time of year for me, so I had to prioritize other things than drawing for a little while.
Last time I mentioned that this chapter and all the emotions its bringing up, and this sequence specifically required reminiscing on some very old discomfort. I haven't had a panic attack in a long time, but when I was around 20 years old they were a multiple-times-daily occurrence. Purposefully recalling the triggers, the physical sensation, and the emotional duress directly resulted in a lot of the imagery in these pages. Fuck me for deciding to use hands as a symbol, though; these pages took extra time thanks to that choice! But, I really hope the paralytic unease of panic comes through.
There will be five more pages updating hopefully before the end of January. I'm so ready to wrap this up. As cathartic as its been, its lined up with a rough time on top of thinking about rough stuff. I love the result but man, art really is labor some times.
