Sherlock S4 E0 "The Abominable Bride" * FULL LENGTH REACTION

What an episode for Sherlock Monday!!

Definitely one of the most fun episodes of the franchise! There are so many things that I absolutely adored!!

The setting, seeing Moriarty again, then cutting to the present and dealing with all of THOSE issues?!

The episode that keeps on giving 🤩

I would have been fine if there were 0 connections to the present, I just want to see more Sherlock and Watson

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much everyone for your support, you are the best!!

It was basically an "xmas special", a common feature with Birtish tv, albeit "seasonal special" would be more accurate as it covers the long holiday period from xmas to new year's. This episode was first shown on Jan 1st 2016, The next episode of Sherlock "The 6 Thatchers" was broadcast exactly a year later to start the final season. The increasingly in-demand cast members made life extremely difficult getting them together for filming in the latter episodes.

I'm very curious to read some of the novels to see how Sherlock was originally written. I currently love this version of Sherlock, whether it's book accurate or not, it's just a great character (and everyone else is too!!). I love that they're his most enduring work, it just goes to show, authors never know what the public will adore and what will make a big impact.

About the 'famous' Sherlock quotes, while he does say (in Conan Doyle's stories) "The game is afoot" once, he never actually says "Elementary, my dear Watson." More generally, Sherlock was never meant to be a genius, he simply followed proper procedure for criminal investigation, which the London Met of the time often disregarded, so it was a criticism of the police rather than a celebration of Sherlock. And ACD thought of the stories as a distraction from better works, and tried to discourage the publisher by upping his price. He would probably be horrified to know they are his most enduring work!
