The Pacific - Part Ten | FULL LENGTH REACTION

The conclusion is here!

This has been a heart wrenching yet amazing series to watch. It really helped me get a better feel for how things were like in the Pacific, and now I can watch all the history channels, listen to podcasts and read up on so many events.

I do want to thank everyone for pointing out things that I wasn't aware of, or that I missed. I do have to rewatch it though, since I don't remember most of the names mentioned at the end :(

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank YOU for watching and your comment!! The psychological toll is so well shown, yes, and when I first started watching, I kept hearing how The Pacific isn't as good as Band of Brothers, but it's just as good but in a different way. It showcases a very different aspect which I'm glad they did. I'm a huge mental health advocate and really think it needs to be talked about more so everyone can get help. I really appreciate your words 🥰

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with this series with us, Vero. You're awesome, loved all your reactions and your commentary. I teared up along with you :') The psychological toll on these men, how they show it in this series, is what makes it slightly better for me than Band of Brothers. Because PTSD is very real and it lasts longer than war itself. Much love to you Vero, thank you very much.

Episode 9 is definitely my favourite, seeing Sledge change is really heartbreaking and harrowing.

Episode 9 and 10 were the best episodes.

Eugne's dad was a ww1 doc and saw the shell shock 1st hand in the Field hospitals. Only those that have been there can know. His dad knew and him keeping his mom (society) away from judging him was a nod to how we all should be.

During WW2 America sent 10-15% served in the war. For Cananda slightly higher. During Vietnam 4-6% served. (Forrest Gump Era). Post 1975 (when draft ended in the US) less than 1% has served. Not all of them have been to combat in any group. You think Eugene feels alone and does not fit in anywhere? x10 for vets returning today. Some of them like me has seen 2, 3 4 times as much combat. I still have nightmares. Arya my dog wakes we up gives me a kiss does the 360 thing that dogs do. She has my 6 where I can touch her and know that she is there. Not even a service dog. I am blessed with awesome parents but I do not hunt large game deer and up anymore. Had a similar breakdown after my dad shot a dear l and I could not help field dress and butcher it. Did it 50+ times before cows, pigs, deer. I just can not anymore.

F that. VERO Find the interviews from the actual veterans. They are out there. 1st person accounts of what it was like. The screen writer is at best 2nd person. The actor is 3rd person at best. If you want history knowledge, find the veteran interviews like at the beginning and end of the episodes. 1st person account. If you want shallow I think this so I acted this way...... , but omg the lighting was bad and the catering sucked do what John has suggested.

Really enjoyed following along. This is, in my opinion, the harder of the two series to watch. One of the podcasts you may want to search out is the 20 year anniversary of when Band of Brothers was released....it is very good. They interview Tom Hanks, directors and writers from the different episodes as well as some of the actors. They tell some really great stories.
