Deep in the Holiest Churches and Temples of the Cult of the Dead, the fallen remnants and gilded bones of the fallen are well-guarded - for that is one of the holy Tenets of the Cult...But for the consecrated remnants of the greatest heroes of Maison Antrelys, they themselves are often raised as Ossuary Saints, acting as both guardian and guarded.

Those who were consecrated with a fusion with said Saint are baptized as Mournguard - the rarest, most powerful warriors the Maison has to offer, unliving in perpetual agony as their flesh and mind are pierced by both the tattered spirit of the Saint, melded by Dogma and their own skeleton reweaving itself in their host’s body.

Such formidable knights are each placed as honorary spiritual leaders of Paladin orders, though they are unable to speak, the faithful still ask for advice and interpret what little body language they can.
