Zombieland (2009) * FULL LENGTH REACTION

I totally forgot to post this last week when it was ready... so here it is!

Zombieland... the winner of the YT poll!! I was expecting to not like it because of Jesse Eisenberg, but this was a role he did well!

I was pleasantly surprised by this!! I've learned a few tips for the eventual zombie apocalypse that we'll have to deal with. Also, pro tip for everyone... if you see humans, don't pretend to be a zombie, it probably won't end well.

I love a zombie movie, and I'm getting the itch to watch more. That and end of the world movies!

What is, in your opinion, the best zombie movie?

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  Also know there is an extension that allows you to do Picture-in-Picture in case you are interested: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en

Zombieland (2009) * FULL LENGTH REACTION

Comments

It's a series that I would love to watch at some point yes!

Verowak

You should definetely watch the walking dead if you like zombies.

Horoldo

😭😭😭There are too many shows!!! I wish I had time to watch/react to all of them, but editing takes up so much time

Verowak

That does occasionally happen to me as well, but far more often the other way around. There have been so many movies I’ve enjoyed more rewatching, probably due to different expectations. The most notable being Hot Fuzz, Unstoppable and just the other day Paul (another Pegg/Frost delight). I did see a short news piece years ago describing a sort of plot anxiety, where people who knew the ending already enjoyed a test movie more than those that didn’t. Of course this is very dependent on the genre of movie, part of the thrill of…er…thrillers is the rollercoaster of the unknown.

James Hadden

Speaking of shows you completely forgot about...😉😊: When do you plan on watching "Fallout"? 😅🙈

silverarrow06

"True Detective" is my plan after "The Pacific", which is after "House of the Dragon". Unless another show airs that I completely forgot about 😁

Verowak

I'm so glad you laughed along!! I assume the sequels has the same 4 actors, so it's quite possible that you didn't like the sequel. Then again, I find that depending on my mood, a rewatch of a movie that I enjoyed can be not so enjoyable.

Verowak

World War Z is a movie I'm very curious about! "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World" sounds like a good movie, too. I've never heard of it until now though, so thank you!

Verowak

I forgot he was in Solo lol I haven't seen the Venom movies, so I had no idea he was in that

Verowak

If you want to see a dramatic (and excellent) Woody Harrelson, I strongly recommend you watch season 1 of the anthology series "True Detective", a great and very dark crime story where he starrs alongside an equally brilliant Matthew MacConaughey...😊

silverarrow06

Columbus' experience with Neighbor 406 is basically the same as Johnny Depp's experience with the same woman ;)

JAKH

The "you have a pretty mouth" comment when Tallahassee is calling zombies with the banjo in the first grocery store is a reference to a famous line from the movie "Deliverance" (1972)

JAKH

Thanks for the reminder of [REC], great movie. Also, I still need to watch Train To Busan, seems very well received

James Hadden

Another fun reaction thanks. I remember enjoying this the first time I watched it, but thought I hadn’t liked it as a rewatch. Decided to give it another go with your watch along and this is clearly not the case, I still laughed along and had a really good time watching. I think it’s a really strong movie. Now I’m wondering if it’s the sequel I really didn’t like?

James Hadden

None of them 3 would work. Perhaps cooking, cleaning your guns and standing behind you when the Zombies attack 😊😊😊

My go-to zombie apocalypse movie is "World War Z" (2013). The hero tries to track down the origins of the infection. A more comedic end-of-world take is 2012's "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World". If you can't tell by the title it isn't a horror film but sort of a relationship that forms between two people.

ButtercupsTrueLove

I like both the original Romero "Dawn of the Dead" from 1978 and the remake. The original is more campy at times and more fun while the remake has recognizable actors and more action.

ButtercupsTrueLove

This studio effectively bought the title 'Of The Living Dead' to cash in on the Romero movie's fame. The story itself isn't directly related to any prior film

Arthur, King of the Britons

I gave Chrome a quick download to test and seems to be working ok. Maybe it stops working once you install the extension as well. Or, it can be a bit awkward, you click right once on the video (once you've hit play), menu pops up, move cursor off that menu, click right again, should pop up with another menu.

Tony Bain

you also saw Sean Connery in "The Untouchables" and "A Bridge Too Far", and at least one more movie that you listed in your upcoming update post.

JAKH

good Woody Harrelson, best first IMO: "The Highwaymen" (2019) *True Story* "No Country For Old Men" (2007) "Seven Psychopaths" (2012) stacked cast "The Cowboy Way" (1994) plus he was in "Solo" which you watched a while ago, and "Venom: Carnage" but I don't know if you watch the Sony Spiderman movies

JAKH

Finding a movie with the fit in terms of sense of humour is like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!! I'm so glad that it was perfect for you. You can definitely join me in the zombie apocalypse! We'll figure out how you can contribute (gardening, fighting, building, etc)

Verowak

The 1978 film is great too BTW!

jim Howe

The 2004 film is a remake of the 1978 film. Pretty sure it is it's own thing. I'm sure there's someone in this community that will correct me if I'm wrong.

jim Howe

Despite it having "The Return" in the title. I know there are a bunch of "of the Dead" movies... are they all in the same universe?

Verowak

Bill Murray: "Ghostbusters" (1984) "Caddyshack" (1980) both better than "Ground Hog Day"

JAKH

So many zombie movies!! A few that I need to watch this year too. Also, thank you for specifying comedy and drama :D

Verowak

I never thought I would say this but.. I've seen 2/3 of those movies!!! I've seen a lot of people say that "Dawn of the Dead" is good, is it a movie that can be seen whenever, or is it part of a franchise?

Verowak

It must be Edge thing, since Chrome needs an extension for it. I didn't know that though, thank you that can come in very handy, and it's really simple to do

Verowak

I had never heard of this movie. I thought it was great. I laughed all the way through, just my sense of humour. I am going to have watch the 2nd one now :) Great reaction Verowak. Oh BTW, if there is a Zomblie apocalypse, can I pair up with you? I reckon I would have a better chance of surviving, lol

William

"The Omega Man" (1971) "Army of Darkness" (1992) "The Last Man On Earth" (1964) "Army of the Dead" (2021) "Army of Thieves" (2021) prequel to "Army of the Dead"

JAKH

The Return of the Living Dead (1985) 7.3 on IMDB (IS NOT A SEQUEL)

Arthur, King of the Britons

zombie movies (action/comedy): "Shaun Of The Dead" "Zombieland" "Anna And The Apocalypse" zombie movies (action/drama): "[REC]" "Train To Busan" "28 Days Later" "28 Weeks Later"

silverarrow06

'Shaun Of The Dead for me is the best, then the 2004 'Dawn Of The Dead' remake and finally, '28 Days Later' are my favourites.

jim Howe

If you right click twice on the video you will get the picture in picture option. Unless that's something you get with Edge as that's what i am using.
