We get to see Powder all grown up and just how much Vi abandoning her affected her. It's really quite heartbreaking to see.
The little girl we saw briefly around Jayce last time is actually going to be pretty great to see! She is smart and determined π€©
The technology/magic development is a really neat aspect, and I'm glad/worried that the council is looking to the underground/undercity and looking to do something about it.
Also, I'm super excited to see more of Vi next episode and see how she turned out! I'm assuming she's a bit like Vander, but still full of anger.

2024-05-14 13:36:06 +0000 UTCAfter I realized there was a timeskip, I noticed that Jayce looked older. Most of them do, which is a really nice touch! When I rewatch the series, I'll be paying way more attention to the visual changes between episode 3 and 4. It really feels like they took their time and are so detailed with everything in this series! I assume all the things you mentioned about the characters are what they look like in LoL (tattoos, nail polish, etc) I'm so looking forward to Jinx and Vi's... reunion though it probably won't be pretty π¨

2024-05-14 03:49:39 +0000 UTCWhat a great start into act 2 of this story...π My reaction to youir reaction - as usual spoiler free: - According to the writers the time jump was 6-7 years. If you watch closely you can see the subtle aging of Jayce in the beginning: He is bulkier, his face is not as soft anymore and he has a noticable five o'clock shadow. π - Caitlyn is my absolute favorite character, right from the beginning, even in those short glimpses at her in the first act. She has a kind heart, is determined (borderlining on stubborn π π), has a sharp mind and a straight moral compass. She also has that naivete and hunger for seeing the world of someone who grew up sheltered and has never seen anything really bad. (As Mylo said: "Just get born lucky.") She even said so herself: "She [her mother] would do anything, to keep me from seeing the real world." Though imo this naivete isn't necessarily a bad thing, I hope she can keep a little bit of that. But she already had the first reality check by seeing her fellow enforcers die in front of her. I just hope she survives and doesn't get as traumatized as our beloved sisters. - Yes, one could say Powder (or better Jinx - as she likes to call herself now - since even Vi called her that) is not okay. She was always mentally fragile (you can see these scratchy glitches already in ep. 1, when she and Vi walk onto the battlefield), and the events from that fateful night broke her beyond repair...ππ She is still the clingy insecure eleven years old girl that wants to belong to someone and constantly tries to prove her worth. (And still something goes wrong everytime she tries - The great tragedy of her life.π) What makes it weird is that this little girl is trapped inside the body of an seventeen or eighteen years old teenager. Behaviour and biological age don't match. And she also detached herself from Powder and what she had done by giving herself a new name, a new home and she stopped caring about life. Not about hers (just look how she plays with her grenades and always sits on the brink of an abyss) and not those of others (all the unnecessary killings - the pink haired girl Jinx shot in the back while she was trying to run away from her, the enforcers she didn't need to kill to distract them from guarding the Academy entrance)...π¨ - Powders bombs finally work ... to perfection. π - Powders machinegun ahngs behind her back and is visible during the fight, if you look closely. It is just cut so fast, that it is easy to miss, especially since we're mostly seeing her front. - Jinx' fingernails are painted blue and purple and are splintered. - Jinx' links to her past as Powder are a small cuddly Claggor puppet, a life-size Mylo mannequin, several toys, Vis bunny and the flare Vi gave her on that faithful night ππ - Mylos ghost lingers over her shoulder like a devil. He represents all her insecurities and self-hate, since he was the one always bickering, criticising and belitteling her and constantly complaining about her. That's why Jinx has written "bla, bla, bla" all over Mylos mannequin. - Jinx has the beautiful mechanical butterflies from the Progress Day fair in her lab and seemed to work on them. - Jinx' tattoos are blue clouds. - Jinx still paints on absolutely everything (look at the things on Silcos desk or her bombs or Jayces and Victors lab). - This is the second time Powder breaks into Jayces lab and steals a blue crystal...π€π - Yes, Viktor looks definitely less healthy than in the beginning. - Sevikas facial scars shine in the same blue as the crystals, when we see her again at the ship. - The way Jinx looked at Sevika while beeing scolded gave me goosebumps.π± - There is some kind of mechanical Shimmer device under the coat on Sevikas left shoulder. You could see the purple glow and hear mechanical noises when she is scolding Jinx. - I loved Silcos confusion wether or not to be mad at Jinx after she gave him the hextech gemstone. He was mad at Jinx because the (unnecessary) killing of the enforcers puts too much attention on him when he doesn't need it and brings his plans in jeopardy, but the gemstone is an extremely powerful item that could be of great use for him. - Mel Medarda is the most beautiful animated character I've ever seen...π She sees Jayce as her tool that she manipulates and uses to achieve her own goals. She has a model of the hexgate on her desk, which means he is not only her protegΓ© (when something doesn't go the way he wants, he always goes straight to Mel looking for help or advice), but she financed the building of the gates and profits from the income. Which makes sense since she is the richest person in Piltover. The control over the hexgates also increases her influence and makes her the probably most powerful person in Piltover. - Vi's tattoos seem to be cogs and machine parts. - Vi has her name as roman numerals V an I tattooed on her face - V=5, I=1, both together VI=6, On her back you see that her prison number is 516. - Vi knocked the bald tattooed guy out twice, once at the fight in the old cannery and years later when they meet again in prison. - The uniforms of the enforcers at the fair differ from those they put on when they're going into the undercity (here it is more fancy and elegant, for representation, the others are armored combat suits). π€π - Silcos left eye has no lids, he only blinks with the right one. - There are nine chairs at the councillors table, but only 7, then 8 councillors. - Caitlyns mom wears earrings that match the color of her eyes. - Caitlyn removed the bandaid from her forehead, when she goes to Stillwater Prison. Sorry it got a bit long.
