The Matrix Revolutions (2003) * FULL LENGTH REACTION

This movie reaction is brought to you by one of our Producers!!

I will say, I went into the second and third movie expecting garbage (based on what I've heard from most people), but I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed them!

I generally go into movies not believing what people say, but in this trilogy... There are so many things that seem to contradict each other, but I think I've managed to piece it all together.

I will say, it really reminds me of anime, which makes me want to watch some lol

Silly Neo not knowing who it was that was calling him "Mr. Anderson" 🤣

This movie was a blast!

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  Also know there is an extension that allows you to do Picture-in-Picture in case you are interested: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en

I have to say, I'm glad that I don't pick up on a lot of symbolism or similarities between other stories. I saw The Matrix more as an anime than anything 🤣

I haven't seen the 4th movie, so there aren't any spoilers unless I just stumble on something. These are broadly the Christ story: the prophesied Messiah sacrifices himself to save humanity (it's pretty blatant in the end scene where he's arms are spread like being crucified, and the computer code image has angelic wings). Smith is Lucifer, the Fallen Archangel who leads 1/3 of the Legions of Heaven against God.

Following this trilogy has been pretty confusing, but it'll be better when I rewatch it since I'll have all the knowledge of the movies to look back on. It's really neat how the matrix and the real world are woven together nicely

You followed it better than most do. I agree with you, they are all fun movies, but does not mean each movie a masterpiece, but when taken as a whole very well done. Basically, the theme is, the Matrix is real, and nobody escapes it. That is why when Neo loses his eyes, he can still see the code in the "real world". It was why Agent Smith was able to get aboard the ship etc. Zion etc are all still part of the matrix, but it is made for the rebellious types/counterculture etc. Nothing is resolved at the end despite some rather obvious religious themes. We are all still in the Matrix!
