How about some concept art?
You all know by now how much I enjoy depicting behavior of extinct animals. Especially hunting. Not just because it's exciting but there are so many things to explore with this theme.
I'm returning to an old idea of a paraavian, like archaeopteryx, in pursuit of some other tree dwelling species. The original version, which you guys can find on my website, had a Microraptor-like thing going after a lizard.
This time I thought it might be fun to make the quarry a pterosaur because it might be fun to explore how these two groups had to compete in the same niche.
There must have been some pressure on pterosaurs to get larger and start eating "fleshy" things where as before they were happy being small and eating insects and the like once dinosaurs and indeed birds, started to occupy the air, eating those bugs and perhaps starting to get a taste for the pterosaurs themselves.
