Hey folks, some of you may have seen on social media already but thought I'd give you guys a few extra shots of my new studio! I want to mention right up top that YOU PATRONS HELPED MAKE THIS POSSIBLE!! Better workspace for me and living space for Molly, Sterling and I was one of my goals for this Patreon. Your support helped us move out of our tiny apartment and into a much bigger, much nicer one with a spare bedroom for me to set up my first home studio since college!
I'm really quite happy with the way it all came together and I've already logged some solid work hours here.
Behind that Empire Strikes Back poster you will find the closet. A critical part of a well organized space is storage and I was able to get my mother-in-law to help me install some shelves for the more bulky items and old sketchbooks.
EDIT: sorry about the rotated photos. I don't know why the page is flipping them like that and there is no obvious fix...oh well.

I was able to find a nice, lush tropical palm to bring some much needed green space to the room. The natural light is also very nice but the blinds are almost always (partly) closed so as to avoid glare on my screen. The window also lights up my book shelves nicely.

Almost as important as the work desk is a comfy studio chair to take a step back from work, take calls, binge Star Trek and read some good fiction. This also keeps my desk a strict "work only" place.

always a good idea to keep a lightsaber handy in the event my studio is invaded by Imperial stormtroopers or the large house cat that stalks the area.

I've found that a "U" shape desk configuration is most conducive for a good work environment. This way I can have supplies on one table and books for reference on the other and keep the drafting desk free of everything but my computer (mostly). This is especially necessary when I need to angle up the drafting table into drawing formation.

So, once again I want each and everyone of you to know that I appreciate you so much you are helping to make this possible. You are helping me grow. Thank you! And know that I will spending countless hours in this space making art for you.
