2026-02-27 18:06:19 +0000 UTCI appreciated the connection Anna and Ben made with the First's armor, as I hadn't thought of that before. Meanwhile, one reason I hope they watch the series again on their own after they finish would be to note the very first Fullmetal reference made in Monogatari.

The first time we see them is during the Tsubasa Tiger arc when Hanekawa is flipping through Senjogahara's notebook in the classroom, Tsubasa Tiger is of course happening alongside Shinobu Time/Shinobu Mail, where they also appeared at night when the girls draw them on Aararagi's stomach. This period of the story is where both instances of the Fullmetal drawings show up in two different places while all this stuff is happening.
