You can tell that she has an absolutely bonkers home life and is a big weirdo who would be just as awkward as Okarun had her childhood bullying not kind of "scared her normal". The thing a lot of people miss is how her friends make comments to the effect that Momo is definitely an odd person who likes odd things. Okarun, to her friends, seems like a good match. I think this makes for a much funnier romance than the traditional "cute girl meets nerd" stuff that anime likes to do.

That's why turbo granny went and saved momo even when she was possessing okarun in episode 1, because momo was being a potential victim of abuse, so even if she didn't care for those 2, she protected momo regardless that day but for once, her and okarun's subconscious intent to "save momo" aligned, and okarun used the phone to pop into the alien territory and save momo with the turbo granny. After that, all bets were off. Not to mention that the main reason she even possessed okarun and "took his weeny" is because he was a single male walking around in the tunnel where victims girls were assaulted. So she punished male victims by taking away their weeny so that they cannot assault any girl ever again... except that okarun was there out of curiosity to investigate the curse by request of momo, not for ill-intent, and that's why our Gilf granny (momo's granny) saidthat sometimes these spirits, even when they didn't originally intend any harm, get to a point where their lines are blurred and can't tell the difference between good or evil doers because they're driven to that point of rage/malice mode... and they must be driven away so they can rest in peace, even when they don't understand why you're against them.
