Yakov Rabkin was on Sachs' "Book Club" an now on "Neutrality Studies" to talk about the history of Zionism and its beginnings in Protestantism. He also connects Zionism and Israel with the Western ruling class and its support for right wing groups (to me the two always go together) at the end of the Neutrality Studies Video. Aaron - I was glad to see you on Decline&Fall. You mentioned Bush senior sidelining the neocons. In Oliver Stone's W Bush Jr blames Bush Sr's patrician attitude towards the religious groups (by extension his more skeptical attitude towards Israel) as one reason for his loss. So the protestant groups and the neocons are naturally allied. In this milieu capitalism and religion come together and we end up with Nazis and Zionists - may be a simplification?
