Western, primarily US military dominance secures global trade corridors and energy pipelines, that enables financial system to operate and gain wealth. In future South America, Africa, and Asia will try to build and secure it's own corridors and pipelines and build their own financial system. Western imperial forces will try to block or make those corridors and pipelines unsecure. That is the main fight currently and in future. If US (UK) retracts it's military influence from world, Wall Street and City would be outsourced and eventually shrink to regional economic level.
