I think you might be right with that theory that Sakota (Doc) is the same person as Sawatari, I've only watched the anime so I don't know the answers, I'm not kept up woth the manga but after this episode, that theory might be right, Sakota had a large forehead scar and he wears glasses, Sawatari here got a head injury from debris falling and he wears glasses.

2024-09-04 07:19:01 +0000 UTCtheres a lot of controversy with this epsiode, but i think you guys really understand the feelings of betrayal and disgust. i’m glad you said that there are places in media for dark themes and didn’t disregard the fact that it’s hard to watch, but it’s there to watch and be able to relate (for some people). this is my personal opinion, but i genuinely think what happens and the outcome is very realistic. spoiler for next ep: a lot of people don’t end up blaming their assaulter for the suffering they endured, especially when they’re someone they look up to, and i think kiruko’s response to maru hurting robin was humanistic and raw. people deal with trauma in very different ways, and i genuinely don’t think the story brushed off what robin did (at least not in this season, and i haven’t read any of the manga so maybe i’m wrong). as i see it, robin was always a piece of shit, but we’ve seen things from the eyes of a child who looked up to him, of course it’s going to be jarring. the scene was disgusting and horrifying, but i’m glad you guys discussed everything, even with the uncomfort of it all.

2024-08-26 23:47:17 +0000 UTCThis whole thing was weird. Not the rape. The reason behind it. It looked less like sexual pleasure, and more like he wanted to humiliate/dominate Haruki by "stealing" Kiriko. Maybe he even was jealous of their sibling bond and wanted to soil it.
