FSN spoils FZ and FZ spoils FSN. Which means that you lose some anyway. So if you're losing some anyway you gotta check (1) Which 'spoiler' is the most impactful and (2) If you can't decide, just go in-universe chronology. In my opinion, FZ's spoiling of FSN is worse than FSN's spoiling of FZ anyway (I don't want to go into much detail because, spoilers, duh!). When in doubt, chronologically.

Compared to other anime dubs for sure. I'm used to watching pokemon, dragonball etc older anime that I've seen as a kid dubbed so I prefer them over sub for sure. Out of the never ones, only Cyberpunk Edgerunners was better dubbed, but that was because of the setting and the lingo worked better in english. As for FMAB, I'd say it's one of the best dubs out there, but for me the sub was slightly better. I watched it just few years ago and couldn't hear Hange when Ed talked but still it worked for me. I don't mind either way and I totally understand the dub preference in this case.

While Code Geass is popular and considered a classic, I find it has a less vocal fanbase compared to a lot of other shows so doesn’t have the best of luck in these polls. I always watch sub because the budget is higher and the voice acting is better, however the FMA:B dub is actually comparable in quality to the sub which is impressive. I can't think of any other anime where that is the case.

Fate series has been a huge family now. Should be careful on the start. I recommend Fate/Zero. It has a game rule explanation in the beginning. Not much character collaborate with the others series families. And the greatest story in the series.

Duh it's fantasy, nobody ever said it's historically accurate, it's just cool to have superhero versions of various figures while having lots of different interpretations of history. I don't think any of the Fate voters are even suggesting every Fate show either, just because the spin offs are not great doesn't invalidate the quality that is still there in the main series

What is good argument, if its just "my feelings" i saw two other channels reacting to Fate because people jumped in, while somewhat enjoying fate/zero due to animations and so on, both channels dropped after stay night. Sure its just my feelings my fate fans are often crazy and don't see how this series don't have much to offer. I studied history, and i don't find it interesting at all, since for me it was pure fantasy how they presented most of the historical characters, they don't even retained the main traits. For me Fate its just a series for Masses that blow up, and got wind with Gacha games and all spin offs.

All three of these works are definitely masterpieces, and it's very difficult for me to choose one. This time I recommend the Fate series, but I think some of the spinoff titles are not that important. (The essentials are Unlimited Blade Works, Zero, and Heaven's Feel.)

Ignoring any of the mediocre spin offs or the gacha game which I have no intention to play, Fate has extremely cool lore and world mechanics. Zero especially has really good writing. Code Geass is a good watch, but it's not a flawless masterpiece either. All the high school hijinks bog down the show for me personally, it's such a tonal whiplash.

They will in all likelihood watch Zero first, then UBW and HF, as most anime only people do. It’s also pretty much the best option for anime only imo. Even though the source material for zero came after F/SN, UBW and HF were produced after zero which leads to the spoilers for zero being quite a bit heavier in the anime than in the VN.

They already fixed the games. The bugs were essentially making the vn a randomizer lmfao. The fix before the patch was to change your locale region to Japan, which was also what people did when their pirated version of the game didn't work which is even more hilarious. starting fate is always hard because starting at fate/zero is not correct even though it's the most popular entry with average people lol. the old fate/stay night anime is not modern enough to start with and fate/zero is default even though it ruins plot revelations for a lot of future stories since it was made as a novel with the reader having experienced the original story before. That's the only complicated part about the fate watch order.

i still havent seen FMAB, but if i end up liking it, ill end up binging it because i dont want to spend 1.5 years to watch it here lol.. i wish they did double eps for classics

Funny you would say that, cuz I watched the sub first, and the dub much later, and I still prefer the dub for this one haha. It's just stellar imo, at least compared to most other anime dubs

ubw spoils way more of zero than zero spoils of ubw. Plus zero is just better, not just my opinion its fact its rated higher, so rather spoil the worse of the 2.

I always watch sub because the budget is higher and the voice acting is better, however the FMA:B dub is actually comparable in quality to the sub which is impressive. I can't think of any other anime where that is the case.

FMAB would be awesome. Much prefer the sub to the dub (like always), but nostalgia people will vote for the dub. Luckily it does have one of the better dubs.

I don't really understand why people say to start with Fate/Zero, considering it spoils so much of FSN. Like yeah, it's a prequel, but it was a prequel made after the fact originally for those who were already familiar with the franchise.

Has to be Code Geass or FMAB for this channel, I think. Fate/Zero is fantastic, but the rest of the series isn't worth the years it would take to watch once a week.

Fate series has been a huge family now. Should be careful on the start. I recommend Fate/Zero. It has a game rule explanation in the beginning. Not much character collaborate with the others series families. And the greatest story in the series.

I'm basically happy with whatever wins of these 6. There is a severe lack of good Fate/Zero reactions out there though so it takes priority for me

Code Geass is peak 2000's anime, with one of the best protagonist ever. Sadly it looks like it won'tbe winning this poll, but both Fate and FMAB are solid choices so I won't complain much

I didn't said historically accurate, but all that those characters have in common is name. I don't like superheroes at all, "different interpretations of history" are no longer history its just fantasy. Its still overrated for me.

code gayAss has trash pacing, 1 dimensional npc chars who just exist to stroke off the mc and fall for his low iq plans. Fate has way better themes and char development

Maybe if I'm really feeling up for it, but I got put off by how much of Fate outside of the main series is pandering and waifus. Loli serial killers and character reskins, meh pass. I want more badass historical/mythological characters.

All three of these works are definitely masterpieces, and it's very difficult for me to choose one. This time I recommend the Fate series, but I think some of the spinoff titles are not that important. (The essentials are Unlimited Blade Works, Zero, and Heaven's Feel.)

Yes definitely you are right, but in Fate nothing is Amazing, maybe aside animations in Fate Zero, but Characters? some are better written but none are amazing, plot is quite basic, there is nothing to be excited about Fate.

If you don't intend to play the gacha game you should try reading/watching a synopsis of the story on youtube, because the lore is mostly all written by the original creators and are just incredible storytelling wise.

Fate is a franchise that needed the long run big three treatment to be able to explore everything into depth in anime form... but then we would get potato quality arcs, bad transitions between arcs/timelines and 💩 animation and so on 😂

Im not huge FMAB fan, but definitely its worth watching, anything over Fate really.

Its always subbed, unless its something like Arcane/CP. They gonna do a poll or ask us in here: what to watch first and in what order, like they did for monogatari. They might be late on some uploads sometimes, but they read our shit/suggestions.

Its perfectly fine to watch it lol, its completed and it makes sense for what it is. Its not like they watching naruto Shippuden without ever watching original naruto... or random ass fate/monogatari series without order. You dont need to eat the whole cake for a certain franchise, to enjoy it.

Speaking of games, I've heard that the new re-release has a lot of bugs to fix. So if anyone is looking to play the game, you should hold off for now... or just play the original.

Yeah I voted for Fate too. I omitted the games because that's just off the table for most people so this is the minimum for people willing to get into the franchise, then so be it. I have my problems with Zero aside from watch order but it's just an observation. Hope it wins.

Yeah Code Geass is sadly not "main stream" enough. It would certainly be a really interesting show for them. And I think thwir first Mecha show, of we don't count 86.
