I have only heard some of her interviews and read some of her articles. As far as Webb goes, I basically concur with Peter: terrible writer, good researcher. She is a conspiracist or 'conspiracy researcher' if we want to be more euphemistic. I am a social scientist/historian focused on the role of covert, exceptionalist statecraft and institutionalized regime criminality. In fact, I believe that the most compelling reason to study such things is so that such knowledge can better inform political understandings. I find her contrived apolitical posture to be essentially dishonest. No one goes into this kind of work without political ideation and one certainly cannot come out of it with no political ideation. A lot of algorithmic juice goes into steering the emerging awareness of regime criminality into right-wing directions. Webb is a part of this. I don't think its intentional; I assume that she just wants a big tent of Whitney Webb followers. To my detriment as an "influencer," I don't really calculate what important issues or questions I will and will not go into. This is because I am a scholar, not an influencer or a conspiracist or a conspiracist influencer. I am honest about capitalism, covid, big pharma, McJihad, the Ukraine War, Zionism and other radioactive topics. If I am wrong about this or that thing, at least I am not going to be wrong because I tried to calculate what would the most useful positions for me to take in order to enhance my clout and/or bank account.
