2025-02-27 13:29:01 +0000 UTCIn 2016 small groups of people started meeting in rural counties of the late great state of wisconsin, part of the networks of peace and justice that remain from more active days plus some local democrats not captured by the state party. We organized and won the primary in vernon county, there was no direction from Bernie central. In 2020 Bernie hired young techy organizers from the region , we began canvassing across the river in Iowa, knocking on doors along with people from Flint and Chicago. On caucus night we were in every prescint counting hands, while the Buttigig app was failing ...you know what happened to the primary after that as Obama cleared the slate , covid and the dems ended face to face organizing, dem machine took over , trolling us for messaging . The democrat party is where movements go to die. Bernie Boilerplate will do his part for the institutions.
