I'm sorry to have to correct you on this; not that it even really matters. Unfortunately, the girl whose heart was broken also then committed suicide. It was just a bit glossed over in the anime to make it a bit more ambiguous, probably for censorship reasons, I guess?

You guys talked a little about Lishu and the previous Emperor again and personally I didn't get the feeling that stuff happened between them. I don't think there was much more "interaction" between them and it was only just that she was there for the possibility of future "interaction".
