Not convinced Burns is the adult in the room guys. Of course, anyone compared to Nuland, Blinken et al will look diplomatic but as the ambassador to Russia and then CIA director during the war - he was occupying positions of high power, authority during the Russiagate, Proxy Wars and knew exactly where we were headed w/ policy after the Russian economy blew up. While I like how you unpack parts of the apparatus (neo-con, internationalist, and neoliberals), Burns has flown under the radar - “Nyet means Nyet” might be warning or he might signaling an opportunity that US pols have been waiting to enact for a long time (Offensive Gladio)
