I agree with Dr Bandy Lee about Trump's problem. And the difference between symbiotic narcissism and group narcissism may be nothing at all. He will do like Javier Melei, and then on top of that try to be for real all the things Russiagaters believe about Putin that aren't true. McGovern can get us worried about Biden (I mean wake us up), and just as much woe could come along with the other cat. Trump people think the masses aren't interested in Bandy Lee, and Biden people think the masses aren't interested in Palestinians.

"Nuclear powers must avert those confrontations which bring an adversary to a choice of either a humiliating retreat or a nuclear war." JFK I was thinking Lawrence's "The End of Global Leadership" was starting off a little judgmentally, but in the last couple hours the full force of something Ray McGovern said hit me (he's said it before, but tonight I have NO doubts re how pertinent it is). Between the ICJ and Ukraine is it Russia that might be facing humiliation, or the US? McGovern was starting to speculate that Biden's not a puppet in every respect, and, God help us, that he himself in some situations might be the one to decide on using nukes. I will vote for Stein, but Dems could pressure Harris to vouch that tactical nukes WILL NOT be resorted to by the US first in response to whatever develops in Ukraine.

I quite like Husseini’s characterization of candidates being servants of Empire. One aspect to Trump that I think gets glossed over is how the FBI’s image was rehabilitated. Prior to his term most democrat types had a fairly dismal view of that organizations. Now there’s kind of a view of them being a guardian of democracy, by standing up to domestic extremism. He’s also great as a distraction. I don’t read enough mainstream press so my interpretation could be way off. I base it on what I hear from the loyal Democrats I know, both in the academic and political realm. I think Trump’s experience in professional wrestling should factor more heavily into looking into his public persona.
