That's exactly how I see it. As bad as RFK Jr sounds on Israel, it's obvious it is not an important topic for him and he only ever talks about Israel when he is asked (which is basically the only thing the left ever asks him). And even assuming RFK isn't bluffing with his love for Zionism, no one has explained to me why they think Biden or Trump would be better for Palestinians. It's a false manufactured idea they have about him.

Light bulb moment. I think Cornel West was prodded/encouraged/pushed to run for president to act as controlled opposition to RFK Jr (Jr.) Maybe this happened organically. I admit that I know very, very little about either West or Jr. But I do know quite a bit about social psychology. Social media is talking non stop about how terrible Jr's position is on Israel. I'm told that I should support Cornel West because he's "the only candidate" with a good take on Israel/Palestine. Well, isn't that convenient. We know that mainstream media has ignored Jr's candidacy, by and large. The same could be said of West- I don't have the resources to determine which is ignored more. We also know that Jr has kept the same talking points since he began. Cornel, on the other hand, launched his campaign by saying he was going to come down and talk with his southern brothers and sisters who voted Trump. That made my eyes wide at the time, as that is exactly the kind of candidate I wanted. Unfortunately, Cornel has since described Trump as a fascist. Cornel is a very smart man. He knows that calling Trump fascist will completely turn off his support from Republican voters. There is no way Cornel is ignorant of that. Cornel has torpedoed his own chance of success by changing parties twice. Nobody who wants to win would act like his campaign has acted this year. But now, now we have this huge outrage at Jr. Don't get me wrong, I'm beyond disgusted with Israel. I am 100% on the side of the Palestinians. But I am willing to entertain Aaron's argument that Jr might not be exactly what he seems, and if he wants to win he HAS to lie. Just looking at the intersection of "Was Israel REALLY surprised by Hamas?" And "Why would Cornel sabotage his own campaign by leaving the Green party, so now even fewer people can vote for him than before?" And "Why is social media abuzz about Jr's Israel rhetoric but NOT abuzz that Biden is the one sending money to pay for the genocide? The msm doesn't even talk about Trump and Israel! But Jr? Wow, all of a sudden it seems his views on Israel are the talk of the town, and there's Cornel, applauded for "taking a stand." I don't know or have reason to think Cornel began his campaign in bad faith. But I have every reason to believe it's a bad faith campaign now, and I just realized how very, very convenient for Democrats to have an opponent who will never win (because he trashed Trump, hasn't organized, switched parties, etc.)
