DiEugenio is the screenwriter and co-creator of Oliver Stone’s JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass as well as JFK: Destiny Betrayed—the four-hour cut of the film which is now available for purchase. Jim also runs the fantastic Kennedys and King website and is the author of Destiny Betrayed: JFK, Cuba, and the Garrison Case as well as The JFK Assassination: The Evidence Today.

His latest book is JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass.

Special thanks to Dana Chavarria for producing the episode!

I thought Kiriakou was taken by surprise - Hedges throws it in there quickly before ending the interview - and agreed only in an effort to agree. Kiriakou talks elsewhere about how long it took him to grapple with CIA/Oswald (Scott Horton Show 5825). Hedges will take longer - may be he first needs to shed his Chomskyism (and his doomsday preacher style which discourages specifics (like Chomsky on this issue) Also Hedges was on the Middle East beat at the NYT - very spook adjacent - so certain habits are understandably hard to shed. Reminds me of the public "confessions" of German journalist Ude Ulfkotte (who had a similar assignment at the German equivalent to the NYT). But I wonder at what point of one's reflections, as a political thinker, is one able to accept the JFK "conspiracy theories" and how it fits into the issue of "credibility" and "legitimacy". Parenti on JFK and the Gangster State is refreshingly direct about these issues.

Saw that interview. S**t Eating Grin is the only possible description of the expression on both of their faces.

Great combination of articles. Kennedy's plans to withdraw from Vietnam were covered up as part of the Dealey Plaza clean-up. Why are the Kennedy's Civil Rights achievements, that Jim Di Eugenio documents, smudged or denied today. (Btw Hedges, in an interview with Kiriakou, outed himself as a believer in the single shooter theory. He hasn't shed his NYT persona totally.)
