Among the many reasons why the media is already running smear pieces on RFK Jr, I think one of the most important ones is specifically setting up for that moment when he DOES overtake the public consciousness and they pull the rug out from under him. If the media, and in turn social media and tech companies, just as they did with Russiagate, COVID, and everything else in recent memory, go ahead and start laying the ground work right now that "he is spreading dangerous ideas" and "he cannot be given a place to speak" then at the moment they are ready to pull the trigger (metaphorical or otherwise) and take away all his momentum, they don't have to hide what they do in the shadows because all they will have to do is say "the accusations being made by the RFK campaign are dangerous ideas that cannot be spread online, they are threatening our democracy and leading us towards a new Balloonuary.... Um, January 6th type moment" and then they will have the unspoken permission to silence him everywhere in our culture and the people who will be trying to expose whatever crimes they commit to prevent him from winning. You already see now the last few years have the laid the groundwork, by silencing people online with certain topics, as soon as you make a post with a certain word, the algorithm immediately silences you.

This is one of the things that Ukrainians who are pro-Soviet refer to when they talk about the West changing the curriculum in schools that has been occurring for the past decades as a part of the shift to the right. Even in briefly scanning the book It's noticeable that he references and shows images of citations of even right wing extremists & nationalists as originally referring to the famine as being because of drought and harvest issues until a concerted campaign to identify it as something else changes that narrative.
