There actually is a bonus update coming tomorrow and by coincidence, Peter and I do discuss Poland a bit in forthcoming episode. It is not fitting to call him "naive" given his research and knowledge into politics and history. You are calling him naive about a subject that he knows far more about than you or me. But I do think he is wrong about Solidarity, maybe because sometimes direct personal experience combined with one's priors can distort one's perceptions. I think Solidarity was just a largely non-violent element of Rollback, and that this was a disaster for the globe. It has taken three decades plus for the world to break away from US unipolar primacy established with the fall of Soviet communism.

2023-06-09 19:46:39 +0000 UTCIn case there's another "May Q&A" section, I wonder if you have any thoughts about PDS's seemingly very naive understanding of the Solidarity movement, badness of China and Russia, etc. His faith in the mainline American narrative on these topics is rather startling, in light of his still very timely insights about the American Deep State 40 years ago. This is something that seems to come up alot with people who otherwise do great work uncovering SCAD. Is it just psychological conditioning that prevent them from reaching what should be obvious conclusions from their research?
