2023-05-18 16:10:17 +0000 UTCI’m not sure anyone is debating some very poor personal and professional decisions by Carlson - but I think the point is that he broke through the miasma of US propaganda on its main channel and allowed a few real conversations that would normally NEVER make the light of day at WAPO, NYT, or other MSM tv. For this he deserves credit. Calling balls and strikes helps the public understand the ecosystem, it’s weaknesses and when the deep state shows itself - so it’s not about lauding Carlson but more about gratitude that certain conversations get to be seen by large audiences. This cult of individualism your post belies makes it easier for the rest of us to miss important systemic issues - no one asking you to like Carlson but to recognize the underlying issues - of which imperial capitalism’s flaws should take front and center
