!! Pretty sure this is spoiler-free. It seems like they just cut the details for time in the show, but I like this one quite a bit and wanted to share: !! They didn't go into as much detail about why the Superd consider their spears to be their souls as the LN does. Their spears are actually their natural-born tails. When they reach a certain point of maturity, a Superd's tail stiffens and falls off. After that point, using the tail in battle actually makes it sharper and harder over time. In many senses, it's the sort of weapon that actually grows with its user. I think the gravity of that fact is pretty significant. Most viewers of the show, I think, consider the "Our spears are our souls." comment to be along the lines of the famous soul of the Samurai mentality related to their swords. But, the original weapons of the warriors Ruijerd led (and of Ruijerd himself) were literally natural-born parts of their own bodies, albeit separated. What Laplace must have done to earn that level of trust with these people is beyond me. And it also throws the importance of Ruijerd's current spear into sharper relief -- it's a actual piece of his son.

2023-02-26 11:32:03 +0000 UTCCompletely sacrificing all communitty engagement when you could just a have a mod quickly scan through comments makes no sense, or just have the communitty itself self-moderate which ive seen work totally fine on other patreons. I would feel weird being AutoSave constantly uploading everyday to the patreon to all my fans and NEVER reading or interacting with any of them when it takes just a couple of seconds to like a comment.

The second that Ruijerd saved someone 10 years ago. Roxy also does not speak positively at all about the Superd and seems to fully buy into the stereotype (she tells Rudy a Superd would kill his whole family if he ever runs into one) It's safe to assume Roxy does not know about Ruijerd and his relations with the village started 10 years ago after saving someone there.
