The World Cup Daily
Added 2019-06-27 15:23:26 +0000 UTCIf you're not up to date, we've been doing our World Cup Daily on – surprise surprise – every day of the World Cup. That's just the kind of crazy naming structure that we like to get going here at The Final Word.
This means that sleeping Australians can wake up each morning with a handy summary waiting for them, and those elsewhere without time to watch every game can catch up, or those who've watched and loved a game can relive it with us.
We've been recording an episode after play to recap each day's game(s) in 15 minutes, including the now-famous 30 Second Summary, our own Player of the Day (who is not necessarily the most obvious pick), and The Final Word Hall of Fame for the best / stupidest / funniest / strangest occurrence.
By virtue of necessity we've recorded these on our portable podcasting kit wherever we happen to be on a given night: at cricket grounds, on trains, in the back of cars, in pubs, sitting on ovals, walking down quaint English lanes while picking blackberries, the lot.
We're not posting the Daily episodes here because we don't want to explode inboxes, and because they're funded separately to Patreon. But the longer less frequent shows are still going ahead and will be posted here, including our Jos Buttler interview in a couple of days.
