I am trying to find a way to explain why I wont be continuing the game after this without revealing too much information I am not comfortable with sharing, but its difficult. I have decided to end the series here and I kindly ask you not to push me on that decision, thank you! <3 I discuss some post game thoughts on a recent stream on Twitch if you'd like to hear more rather than just how sad or tired I was at the end lol

Personally, I prefer the Maelle ending, not so much in how it’s presented in the end scene, but in the bigger picture of things. If we look at it in the lens of the painters being gods and the painted being normal people, we would be rewarding the gods for ruining the lives of everyone by fixing their family drama. The game acknowledges several times that the people in the canvas are alive, so as a pure numbers game, I don’t believe the lives of a family of 5 are more important than a world of thousands. Plus Maelle was right about having nothing on the outside because in Verso’s ending, you’ll notice that nobody even looks in her direction and she’s just left wanting to go back to the canvas

2025-10-20 19:26:28 +0000 UTCAw Amber, of course that’s okay! This game is so amazing, but it is so so exhausting as well (emotionally and mechanically). I fucking LOVE re-experiencing games through your eyes; you see so much and you’re so good at expressing what you see and notice and feel, that you know how to say what I already feel about a game, but am unable to put finger on. You make me enjoy and love my favourite games so much more.
