This is the exact way I found act 2 as well! Then I went and backtracked to find the intended way. I loved that fight at the end too, top 5 in the whole game for me

I think it great that they give the player options. I ended up using the hunters crest a lot, but one of my friends ended up mostly using the Wanderer's Crest and another used the Reaper's Crest a lot. It's neat that there's something for different preferences. I say, use whichever you find most fun and don't be scared to try out different things. They gave you the options, so it's never wrong to use them however you like :D Also, I think I do understand what you mean about Moss Mother redux and DS2. It is kinda a DS2 move to go "this thing but now two of them". Luckily, I didn't get any DS2 vibes from most of the game, so if your experience is anything like mine it won't be a trend :) So wild that you entered through the back way the first time around. Entirely intended, but not the most obvious way. I'm glad you got to fight Phantom though, such a cool fight. And some cool story beats there too :D I really hope you're having fun with it so far, I'm enjoying being along for the ride for sure :D
