Questions!

Hey everyone! I'd love your input.

I've been thinking a lot lately about the channel and how it's changed over time. To help me keep making content you genuinely enjoy, I'd love to know a bit more about you:

No pressure to answer everything, but your thoughts would mean a lot. Along with longer videos I am going to shift a bit next year and your insight can help me figure out what’s working (and maybe what isn't).

Thanks so much for any help! 🧡

Sorry for being so late but I never got around to taking the time to write this down! → What's been your favourite let's play on the channel so far and why? Dark Souls! Loved it, watched it multiple times. Your sense of observation, watching you progression and becoming better at the game was so interesting. I also personally love the franchise and you're first person whose playthrough I've watched! Close second would be Detroit. → On the other side, what was a series that didn't click for you and why? FF7 Remake I think. This type of game I prefer playing it myself instead of watching someone play it. I still watched it afterwards! 😉 → What kind of YouTube videos do you find yourself watching lately? Your videos among others! Videogames most of the time. Also, I like to watch Youtube VODs of my favourite Twitch streamers from time to time, although I don't watch streams. → Do you remember what first made you check out my channel? I'm not entirely sure but I believe it was Outer Wilds. I was looking for playthroughs and yours hit the mark! You seemed to have so much fun playing it. → What are some of your all-time favourite games? Here's my list: - Final Fantasy X - Celeste - Hollow Knight - Resident Evil - Dark Souls - Outer Wilds I really appreciate how long you’ve been creating and how consistent you’ve stayed. What’s always stood out to me is how frank, emotional, and thoughtful you are. It’s what makes watching you so easy and fun. Thanks for sticking with it and sharing so much of yourself with us.

so, i'm quite late, but i thought i'd answer! my fave series of you are either hollow knight or bloodborne, for sure. special mention to to the moon, which isn't particularly long, but it was a sweet game and, as an adhd girl, i related so much to so many of your thoughts. i have a suspicion that expedition 33 could also be a fave, but since i haven't played yet, i'm waiting for a bit! on the other side, i didn't love detroit become human, but that's just because i don't vibe with the game much. same with the last of us actually! (side note: i'm sorry you felt that way about dark souls 2. i get it, but i just thought i'd let you know i loved it! i'm not usually a fan of co-op playthroughs, but you two got me so interested in ds2, and i think i appreciated it so much more! i hope you return to souls game at some point (i think ds3 has the strongest artistic direction of the three, and elden ring, while long, is an outstanding game. even if it's just for your own enjoyment and off camera, you should give them a chance, and play them the way /you/ want them to play!). third question: i find myself watching a lot of monthly faves (it makes me appreciate my everyday objects more), long blender tutorials and portfolio reviews, speedruns and long gameplay videos. i first checked out your channel because of hollow knight i believe! and then i saw your bloodborne playthrough (a game i was playing at that moment) and i was hooked! as a fellow gamedev, i found the way your brain works when interacting to games very similar to mine (except you're better at the games themselves lol) and i loved it! and my favourite games are bloodborne, ico, silent hill 2 (1998) and alan wake 2. silksong maybe, but i need to let my thoughts simmer for a bit! side note: i think you'd love fumito ueda's games, and i think you should definitely check them out, even if it's off camera! ico especially, but shadow of the colossus too, and even the last guardian. i love the channel, love your playthroughs, and find your personality really fun and comforting (maybe not the best word, but i don't know enough english to pick a better one!). keep doing your own thing, and the right people will stay. i know i will! <3 sorry for this monster of an answer!

Hi! I’m pretty new here, i’ve discovered you with your Clair Obscur vidéos. The game really marked me and since i have no one irl to share it with i try to watch people online that resonate with it. That’s the only content from you that I’ve watch (for now) so i can’t answer some of your questions. When i watch YouTube it’s mostly for gaming/movie news and deep analysis videos. I’m having a harder time watching « regular » content or let’s plays because I’m tired of people overacting, i don’t feel anything real, more and more are just on autopilot doing the same content over and over again. When i watch you (from the little I’ve seen) you feel genuine and invested, and just yourself. That’s why I’m here. Finally some of my favorite games: Clair Obscur (but the time will tell me how much of it will stay with me) /Chrono Trigger/ Psychaunots/ Mirror’s Edge/ most Zelda games (my favorite being Wind Waker)/ Cyberpunk2077/ Shadow of the Collossus/ Symphonie of the night/ Bioshock series/ Nier series/ Metal Gear series/ Final Fantasy series/ and many more actually. Sorry for the long message and I’m looking forward for what comes next !

-What's been your favourite let's play on the channel so far and why? Hollow Knight, Bloodborne, and currently Clair Obscur. And as a complete outlier, Silent Hill 1 and 2, despite not liking horror games at all. -On the other side, what was a series that didn't click for you and why? Probably God of War, but that's mostly because the game is not doing it for me. I often gravitate towards the videos of yours of games I already know and like. -What kind of YouTube videos do you find yourself watching lately? I tend to bounce around a lot. Recently it's been randomizer speedruns and various Dropout content. -Do you remember what first made you check out my channel? It was Bloodborne, and I stayed because you are exceptionally observant and have a very respectful way to interact with games, if that makes any sense. You approach the games you play with a sincerity and attention that is kind of inspiring. If I were a game developer, you would be the type of player I would want to play my game, because you treat the game you are playing as important and deserving of your time. It's very infectious as a watcher. -What are some of your all-time favorite games? Bloodborne, Fallout: New Vegas, Kingdom Hearts 2, Ghost Trick, XCOM 2, Metroid Prime.

With gaming I mostly watch streams of games I like. That’s how I found your channel, with you playing Clair Obscur. You were on a roll, even though you originally missed the trashcan-man etc. Sensitivity on “max”, like a highly enjoyable, more subtle, direct streaming version of SofieReacts (edit: spelling). I loved that. You are a great streamer. The last 5 years I’ve enjoyed games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Hogwarts Legacy, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (mainly flying through this awesome world), Still Wakes The Deep, Astrobot, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, and Clear Obscur. I loved all of those. I couldn’t tell if you played Hogwarts Legacy, but “The Great Circle” reminded me a lot of that one: created with lots of love for the franchise. Hope you are getting yourself :) and your pc to work soon. All the best!

Hollow Knight, Bloodborne, The Last of Us. I actually discovered the channel through Bloodborne, when I was playing it in early 2022.
