Update Time

Hey everyone, it's news time!

I've been thinking a lot about how I want to approach my videos moving forward and I've decided I want to try something new: one-and-done videos for some games and series.

I want to experiment with longer, more complete videos instead of lots of shorter parts. I want to be able to play more games and I just feel so guilty when a series goes on too long (Dark Souls 2?)

I hope this also helps rebuild trust around me finishing series and uploading regularly, which I know has been an issue! One-and-done videos aren't the most digestible but I'll include chapters so hopefully that helps too.

There will still be some games I run as a series but I'm planning on trying out minimal parts with longer videos or just one full playthrough videos more often now.

This will probably mean uploading less frequently while I take the time to play and edit these longer videos. But I'm thinking I might share parts early with my Patreon (hello) and Youtube member community as usual so you can still get regular content and give me input during the playthrough, while the public YouTube release will be the full playthrough as a handful of videos.

I'm not sure if this will be the long-term answer, but I'm feeling pretty tired of the current format and want to try fresh ideas for the channel!

Thanks so much for your ongoing support and understanding.

Detroit: Become Human is done! The playlist is updated, and the public Part 3 on YouTube will be a big finale episode that wraps everything up.

I got my new PC (yaaay!), and I'm working on getting back into ClObs.

Sadly, I learned that because my channel doesn’t qualify for certain extended upload features (likely due to being under 100k subs and having a few copyright-flagged videos), I can't upload anything over 12 hours. So I need to be extra mindful when editing longplay content! That may throw a spanner in the works but hey ho.

And finally a gentle ask for patience, I have been feeling really low mentally this month... I am not sure what the cause is but its been SUCH a rough spell and so I am going to take the weekend to rest before jumping back into content!

Thank you all for reading yet another huge block of text from me, haha, thank you for the endless patience and support. Knowing one person out there enjoys a video helps me more than I can ever explain!

Congratulations on the new computer! I hope that it serves you well for a long time yet! ^_^ As to the new format, I hope that it works out well, for you! I'll admit that I am a little worried by another commenter's note that YouTube might not handle bookmarking within longer videos well: I tend to watch long videos in many smaller chunks. Thus bookmarking is pretty important to me! Well, we'll see how it works out!

I LOVE getting large amount of content to binge in huge chunks. :) However, very large videos on Youtube aren't without issues... I know some weaker devices struggle with them. And personally I very often have the problem with huge videos, that Youtube lose the "bookmark" where I left off when I want to resume watching, returning me anything between a few minutes to an hour before I actually stopped watching... If it isn't a large amount of extra work for you, maybe consider at least cutting huge videos up into a few medium sized videos (2 hours?) that you still release at the same time, no particular editing necessary at all. That would prevent a lot of inconveniences for some of us and still get your goal of "One-and-done"... Regardless, I will continue watching and support your choices! :)
