Hey all! Sorry for the delay, I had a hectic week! Here's a playlist of some more parts for the Detroit Playthrough (instead of multiple posts, just decided to deliver them as one). I cant get part 6 to export which is annoying lol, my pc upgrade hasn't arrived yet so hopefully that helps when it does if I cant get it posted today!
I've been considering publicly posting it all as a One and Done video actually... I have received a couple of heads up from others that have covered the game that the videos in the Detroit playthrough may be heavily disliked lol, wonderful, which has scared me off a bit as I don't want it to affect the ClObs playthrough in any way - as I am proud of that so far! Thought I could contain the damage to one video and just move on, haha.
I will write more details for the plans for the channel going forward in a new post later on, but I do think I want to change things up a bit. Thanks for watching so far!

Another very good playthrough π I knew about Detroit Become Human and watched a letβs play here and there, but never the full game. I think the game starts out asking some very interesting questions, like how far we can go with technological advancement and how it affects people (surely, itβs no coincidence the game is set in Detroit, mirroring the rise and fall of the car industry there), what it means to be alive and where the boundry lies between living and not-living. The shift towards a focus on racism, discrimination, slavery and equal rights - which is sudden and obvious, but also creeps up on you - seems misguided and disrespectful towards those issues as well as current and past movements: non-humans being treated as non-humans is obviously very different from actual humans being treated as non-humans. Also, Markus is Jesus Christ, Neo and Martin Luther King in equal parts, but his story feels like a villain origin story and it did not gel with me at all. I found the romance with North out of place and severely uncomfortable, and to me it really showed the authorβs hand. You had very good insights and fun edits, and I would recommend your playthrough to any and all π

I love hearing your thoughts on all the choices and general concepts of the androids (even all the discussion of empathy that got some flak for some reason π). And I saw what you did with that LED effect throughout the video, that was clever, haha
