After months of waiting and several delays, it is finally time to present you with version 0.9 of Goodbye Eternity.
So, farewell to Ren'Py, which allowed me to start this adventure. Its simple usability enabled the novice I am to create something that has brought together several hundreds of thousands of people.
Today, we are turning the page and starting a new chapter with Godot. The beginnings won't be perfect, and you might encounter some crashes. I apologize in advance for any inconveniences you may experience.
We will, of course, do everything necessary to provide you with a stable game and continue to optimize it as much as possible, just as we did with the Ren'Py version.
It was important for me to be as transparent as possible about the reality of the situation. I am also a player like you, and I dislike false promises.
Now, let's move on to the most important part: version 0.9. It introduces Noriko's Femdom route. Her relationship with you will be more authoritative and controlling, which will also be felt during intimate moments.
Version 0.9 also lays the groundwork for version 0.10 dedicated to Sayuri. A new route dedicated to Asami is available to you. You can reject her advances and start a friendly relationship with her. You will discover some new things with the characters you already know. Important reminder: if you want to enjoy Sayuri in version 0.10 and start an intimate relationship with her, it will be necessary to make the right choice. "The hardest choices require the strongest wills."
And finally, Sakuya's story has undergone some modifications to maintain consistency. Her dream of becoming a pornstar has been replaced with a more credible alternative. It is just a few lines, but they make all the difference. Additionally, you will now be able to refuse her advances; you will no longer be forced to endure what happens to you in her company. I won't say more, I'll let you discover it for yourself.
This version 0.9 is a very big piece. Since development took longer than expected, I was able to write more.

2024-07-12 09:51:55 +0000 UTCyou're doing absolutely nothing wrong, with the change of game engine, it turned out that the code wasn't yet stable, which causes crashes, especially when fast-forwarding. To avoid crashes, don't use fast-forward; it won't prevent them 100%, but it will reduce them by 90%. We are currently working on correcting all these problems.

I'll try fucking with my settings a bit, but I hope this gets ironed out and doesn't become a trend with big future updates.

You end wot issues because you used a system to generate the binary that has a newer version of glibc installed then is on linux mint 21.3. Both Mint 21 and ubuntu 22.04 on which it is based are supported til 2027 and are likely to still be in use, so you should probably make sure your game will run on them. This was not really an issue with ren'py as it was python based, but with godot you will need to make sure your game properly runs on current linux systems.
