Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing just fine and keeping well. Just finished up this new piece and I'm very happy with how it came out!! Doing that Jane and Belle comic really helped me learn how I wanted to render and work with my compositions but since I was doing my best to release a page weekly, I didn't really get the chance to experiment with hard and soft brushes like I wanted to. Needless to say now that I have a bit more time, I was able to do just that! (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

It was rather simple to color once I broke everything up into the different type's of material was present, like skin and cloth as well as wood and metal. I focused on the lighting first near Miko's face with more warm colors like orange and red, but then I washed that away into the shadows of night with green and blue colors. Once I had Miko and Ei rendered I adjusted the lightning fx and added ambient lighting to it so it looked like they illuminated what they sparked nearby. (•‾⌣‾•)و ̑̑

After that I moved on to add detail to the background but not too much, since i've learned recently that can help make the image clearer. More details with your figures with less detail in the BG will help the eye focus on what you want the viewer to see. Unfortunately I wasn't really able to add much to the foreground like I wanted too since every time I tried, it simply covered up too much of the image for my liking. In future pieces I'll try and plan that more ahead of time instead of trying to add it once everything is done, which should fix that problem. (•̀ᴗ•́ )و
