Desktop Tour - October 2024

I have some plans to upgrade/optimize this that I'll talk about in future videos, but this is what I've been working with for most of 2024.

I'm using the same stuff, QEMU/KVM with GPU passthrough. Not sure why it wouldn't be working for you, maybe try checking `dmesg` or `journalctl` to look for errors. I primarily use `virt-manager` to manage them if that helps.

2025-08-26 05:02:48 +0000 UTCQuestion: how do you virtualize? Ive been looking into QEMU/KVM with GPU passthrough and am having trouble. Getting the Windows VM properly using my GPU. Ive made sure to isolate my GPU too.

2025-08-26 02:07:18 +0000 UTCIt's good! I'm sure there are things that are better, but this has served me well so far and I don't see any need to replace it yet. Though I should mention, I haven't really used the SMD heat gun much so I can't say anything definitive about it yet.
