REport: What Are We Doing?

This is a rather long and rambly REport, so let me give you the summary: we don't know what we're making still, and we're struggling to make much headway, as 2020 took a lot more out of us than we could have imagined. But month-long breaks aren't really a thing we feel good about, either (at least, until YouTube changes their algorithm), so this is a candid discussion that includes several projects we very well might make, but also the dilemmas we have in pursuing them. Please take it all with a grain of salt, because one good joke or melody can materialize in an instant and turn our whole opinion upside down. Right now, we're basically hunting for that inspiration for one of these (or something different).
Thanks again for being understanding and patient. You and your support mean a ton to us, especially after such a taxing year. We definitely still have several "deserving" concepts to work on, but current conditions have knocked most of them out of our reach. Hopefully we'll find something we can both make AND deserves to be made... but more importantly, whatever we make, we'll do our best to make as awesome as possible.

I would recommend Gwen's idea of reusing the doll from The Child and maybe having someone do a voiceover for the baby instead of having one of the members dress as the baby. Not sure how much that would help, but just an idea! Either way, I know things have been hard, I still give you all so much credit for what you have been able to pull off, despite what the year has thrown at everybody. Take all the time you need! Hopefully something comes up!

2021-01-12 18:14:44 +0000 UTCFor the idea of a Ninja Musical, you could do Genji and Hanzo from Overwatch, since Overwatch 2 is getting more information confirmed in Feburary, if you're looking for a way to use that. Other than that, for this month, just stay strong, and keep working towards the goal. Remember that the ad rates are low enough this month that it really doesn't have to be a blowout success, and after last month's strong performance it shouldn't be too bad to throw something underperforming this month out if necessary.

I know 2020 was rough in terms of creativity (among other things) but for what it's worth, the musicals turned out great! And I know whatever you decide on next will be great as well! If I had to make a suggestion though, I would suggest Night in the Woods. It's a few years old so I don't know how much of a following it still has but Jack played it on his channel if that means anything.

Detroit Become Human. I mean dressing as a cyborg would be moderately easy with just a blue circle light on your temples. Just a thought.

We completely get how you guys feel, thanks for being so honest obviously we all want to see how you are and hopefully we can help with suggestions, hope you guys find a project that you can make and feel deserves to be made.

It's still relatively relevant and I think it's the only option we could come up with, apart from Clumsy Ninja. 💜

Sure, everyone’s here at least partly for the games, but there’s so much more to the channel that it’s worth it to be a part of everything.

Seriously though, taking a month of only Friday videos (or similar) would probably be best, as it’ll keep the algorithm happy, while not forcing a large amount of work for one musical, plus giving you a bit of a break. That’s just me though, whatever you decide we’re behind you :P
