You can "buy" it here also, which is what people should do instead of asking for a Steam release. There can't be a Steam release for this game since it's using copyrighted Illusion assets. It's also why the game can't be permanently paywalled and must always remain free.

First of all, I love your work, the designs, and the story. Now regarding what I think about paying the monthly fee. 1. Obviously the language, despite knowing a little English, it becomes very tedious to read hours of content in another language that you do not master. 2. The frequency of updates, really to feel that the payment is worth it, it would feel good to have a monthly or bi-monthly update but with a monthly statement of how everything is going. I really don't think people will be bothered with a small half hour update, it's better than waiting half a year for 4 hours 3. The relationship story and sex scenes. I understand that as a developer you try to make the story as satisfying as possible, but as consumers of this type of games we are obviously interested in sex scenes, I think that finding a stability between these two or a repeatable one that doesn't go with the thread of the story would be good, Waiting half a year for 4 hours of reading and 1 or 2 scenes that are actually worthwhile also gets tiresome. Thanks again for this great game, and we'll see what you decide to do so many of us decide to pay you to continue developing this great work.

Fair point. Truth be told I think the challenge with your game was the fact you had a large cast. Not sure if you are doing this alone or with small help on the side or not. I definitely see the effort you put in the game and respect for that too. But I think my mentality like my previous point also becomes the dollar value over the years spent and reviewing other things I could of done with those bucks instead. I'm still definitely looking for a finish product but I can't endlessly support especially with the increase cost of living in Florida.

People are really strange... the "free membership" is functionally the same as the previous "follow" option... I had been pledging earlier until I thought had paid a reasonable amount (achieving the loyalty package). I'm not so much into that subscription things... I prefer to pay a one time payment. But I definitely don't want this project to cancel before the conclusion of the story! So, chipped in a few coins again to keep you going! And I can see that a subscription is more easily for a developer to plan his budget on the mid term.

1. Have a consistent update date, no matter if it's every month or every 3 o 6, but has to be a concrete date. (E.g at the end of every 4 month) 2. Rework sucks, you can't make a entire update about reworking things, at most reworks should represent 20% of update content 3. People want to see big number, 0.12 version looking a very small number, if your update takes 4 month you should increase the number 0.10 for every version. 4. ADD a ROADMAP then we can know what you should expect or not for x time. 5. Sell you product better. Players don't feel the story is progressing. Either you work harder, and faster or find a way to show us all the work you are doing.

In addition to wanting to support the game, I think the number one thing to keep people pledging is 1) frequent releases so that people feel like they're getting something for their money every month 2) a benefit that can't be acquired outside of patreon. It may not be suitable for this game, but polls that determine characteristics of a new character, or which character will get their story first, etc. A vote can't be pirated, so passionate people will pay for it.

One more thing to add, as far as I know, there may be several Chinese translation groups translating renpy games on patreon. Not every Chinese translation group is so bad, but the first two versions I saw were indeed badly translated. If you want to cooperate with them, please pay more attention. Steam supports Alipay and WeChat in China, but I remember that its policy is not friendly to R18.

I am a Chinese speaker. I am not very proficient in Japanese and English. I often use GPT to translation games and play it. I can share my gaming experience in the Chinese environment. But compared with other completely inaccessible websites, steam can work normally most of the time after various accelerators or proxy software. Payment methods: Most people in China use local payment software, such as Alipay and WeChat. Few people use bank cards and cash. Most bank cards that can only be used in China. If you need to pay on Patreon, you need to use Visa or other bank cards that have foreign payment support. For example, I currently use Visa credit cards to pay on Patreon. It is not easy to issue these bank cards that support foreign currencies. Most Chinese players (especially students) probably don't have bank cards. Personally, I really enjoy content with themes like NTR, characters like the Otaku, Thomas Faris, or older men with strong personalities. I believe giving players the option to explore scenes involving those characters—or to stay on the main character’s path—adds a lot of depth and variety to the game. You’ve already hinted at this direction: the Otaku’s scene at Honey Bee, Faris during the photo shoots, and the mother’s moments at the pool and on the train were all really interesting examples for those of us who enjoy that kind of content. I’d be happy to support a higher tier if I knew that kind of optional content would continue or even expand. It helps manage expectations between updates, and knowing there’s a route that appeals to a group of supporters who enjoy these themes—at least for me—keeps me way more engaged. £3 is not alot to ask and if you got updates down to 2 months as youve mentioned above ide go back to supporting you again in an instant and it would be higher than £3. Ive been with you since the start and update time has varied massively as well as update size which is a problem. So its hard to justify the spend when theres other games of similar quality being regular with less time. I saw in another comment that your almost down to a release per quarter but yopu need the support for it. I think your going to have to earn players trust before you get the support for it unfortunatly. Its the case with me but prove it and youll definatly have it.

hi ,Personally, I am in the "free" zone because your page was recommended to me by other game publishers, but the idea of supporting you does not come to me until I know what you are making... few visuals available for the free zone and no idea of the type of game it is (graphic novel, 3D sandbox...?, and I also deduce from this that you do not have a French translation either, which always puts me off before investing... (which is not irremediable depending on the work done, many of my games are not translated)

I am one of those people who find the long updates. However, I understand very well why. The work done is really very good and of quality. I think that even minimal update every 3 months, for example, would motivate more people. After I want the quality to remain the same. Better that it is long, but good, that fast and regular, but bad. In any case, good luck and continue like that :) (I'm not English so my translation may not be perfect.)

I will release an update every 3 months after this one, with the help of my new coworker this is a promise i can hold. But people have to understand that it's unstable for me to receive money only once the update is out, even if it's a large amount. It's more safe and stable for me is people remain subbed for several month, even if it's on a smaller pledge. For exemple if you plan to pledge at 15$ for release only, I rather you remain 3 months at 3$ and upgrade your pledge once you feel like it, or downgrade it when it's during devellopement time.

The problem I have with the model is I have been burned in the past by subscribing to other creators' Patreon. They will milk their subscribers while putting out minimal content and big promises. However, I believe these content creators deserve to be paid for their content. So, I will happily pay for every update, but I hesitate to subscribe. Your game is phenomenal, so I will continue to support and play. Here's my question: if I choose to pay only when there is an update, what is the recommended amount to keep Irphaeus in the black and continuing to create this wonderful product?

It's impossible to make relevant update in suchshort time span if I want to keep somekind of quality control. Even if we were 20 peoples working on this, I need time to create meaningfull storyboard and story events. It's a creative process unfortunatly. 2 months would be the least possible, and the update would be very short.

We are close to be on once quarter, seasonal release aka Winter, Spring, Summer and fall. With my new coworker it will become a more regular thing. But to do so i need support... I need money to pay the recruit, or I will be alone again managing Discord/Patreon, making renders, animation, storyboard, sound mixing etc. This takes an incredible amount of time to do this alone.

NTR is very controversial, if im adding NTR i may lose more supporters than I would win supporters. It would be also not good to sacrifice game story pacing just to win more supporters... However NTR can and will happen in the game depending of your choises, it happens with Yoko, it will happen again, but It will never been forced, it will always be the player decision.

Let me answer this, from 2019 to 2021 the update were fast because I had work already made in advance. I also wasn't making quality renders with proper 3D lighting, the game didn't had so many characters and story arc, the game was way more streamlined... But I enhanced my work, made renders quality a LOT better wich require a LOT more times, same for animations, I had to create new map/environement for new area, added the Karma systems and a map roam option etc. I understand the criticism, and I will work faster with my new coworker. But I find the comparison unfair, specialy with other creators who never finnish their project, don't interact with the community, or doesn't care about story quality... I think quality matter more than "fastfood" content, it's important for me as a creator to want to do better in each update, even if it require times.

If you can update faster, for example, once a quarter, instead of once every 7 or 8 months, and there is less content updated for such a long time, just take last year's update as an example, the creation time is long and the update content is less. I believe many sponsors think so. If the update speed can be improved, I believe that many people will be willing to sponsor and support it. I will post here as evidence. If the update speed can catch up, I personally am willing to sponsor $100 per month.

The biggest reason is that the updates are getting slower and slower, and there is less content every time you update it. There are many complaints about the game forums in my country that you are slow to update and you don’t do anything with money. I don’t want to sponsor any more, and I’m more willing to sponsor those newer and more diligent creators. In recent years, your update speed and game content are really not as good as before 2021.

You can "buy" it here also, which is what people should do instead of asking for a Steam release. There can't be a Steam release for this game since it's using copyrighted Illusion assets. It's also why the game can't be permanently paywalled and must always remain free.

Your story is captivating, but not localizing it will lose a lot of potential enjoyment. If you want more support, why not release it on Steam? Simultaneously entering the Steam China region and using an adult content patch to circumvent censorship, I guarantee many people would buy it.

I prefer NTS, but yes amongst other kinks I agree. I also prefer games where I can't get all the girls in the same playthrough. Having to choose and try to get with as many as possible is fun, but getting all of them by default takes some of the thrill away.

Don't trust him, if NTR is introduced in WAIFU Academy, at least i won't play this game anymore. NTR content is not unacceptable to me, while it's just not suitable for WAIFU Academy. Maybe you can try it in a new game developed.

I am currently supporting sevaral creators and need to prioritize within my budget. Currently I have selected to support other game creators over you. This is mainly due to consitency and timeframes of updates, size of updates as well as content of updates (ie fit of kinks and fetishes for me).

i am hesitant to leave the free club since the game updates needs extremly long & tends to feel very small considering the time. i am still fencesitting (more regular updates on patreon & regular packs would make it feel a lot better).
