Developer Update #127

Hello everyone,

It's been a busy couple of weeks! The patreon support has grown immensely, more than I ever imagined it would - I'm grateful for all those who have decided to give Dreams of Reality a try, and for those who continue to support my work.

Let's look at the progress sheet - it's a little out of date as I have not added todays work to the list.

Much of the Cindy scenes are done and just waiting their turn in the render queue. There are a few animations outstanding that will need to be completed first. I've been working on the xmas special GUI that will allow you access to some special renders I intend to do.

This meant writing yet-another-version of my Gallery code. I feel like each time I do this it's different! Currently no plans to add any of the hidden items to the main story for 0.4.9 due to it being short in nature.

In other news, chapter five is now deep into writing. It's been a little bit of a struggle to work out how to fit all of the different paths, all those choices, how to fit them together. I made a promise that the endings would be unique - I'm not a fan of "chose your favourite colour" style of ending. But, I am aware that punishing a player due to a choice made a few hours ago, is not rewarding - in fact, it can be the complete opposite.

In short - this is hard work, but I'll get there.

It's October and that means its nearly Halloween! I decided to keep it simple this year (mainly because my PC is spending 99% of it's time rendering! Here's an image for you all, and attached is an 8k png that you can freely use for your own backgrounds - no copyright attached, just attribution if you publish the image anywhere.
