Doki Doki Literature Club Plus 2

I couldn´t quite nail drawing monika completly from the back, her bow and hair are super tricky to do on that angle,  I also couldn´t set for the right facial expression so i made multiple versions of this drawing.

And for the patrons that are curious about it, I just finished seen a playthrough for doki doki literature club plus and i have to say I´m a bit conflicted about it. There is a lot of extra aditional art i thought  satchely did a fantastic job on it, I´m also happy there is an official version to get on consoles however are lot of things i was not a fan of.

I guess my biggest gripe is that the game is presented as a horror game from the start both in game and also in the new trailer, i think part of the charm of the original gets lost if you know this is not a traditional visual novel, now i know most people even if they havent played the game know ddlc by the memes so a lot of them are already spoiled of the gimmick of the game but im positive there are still people in the dark that dont know anything and i think the decision of letting them know straight away this is a horror game is gonna give them a worst experience than playing the original.

Also I was not a fan of the extra chapters, when you see the icons of the characters and the title of each chapter you can inmidietly deduce everything thats gonna happend on each one, which made me not even want to see them because it was so predictable after reading the first one. And the writting on the extra chapters felt really weird, the characters behave extremely unatural and sometimes completly far out of their stablished personality. I wonder if Dan Salvato was forced to make those extra chapters in a rush to make extra content for the switch version or if dan even wrote them at all.

Sorry if i sound a bit butthurt about it, I don´t wanna sound too negative, i don´t think this was a bad idea, im just not satisfied about the execution.

To end on a positive note, some of the added stuff gave me great ideas i could draw for the future, theres nothing like new content to get the creative juices flowing! :3
