Friends S8 Ep: 15 & 16 - FULL REACTION

These two were HEAVY. I loved seeing how Ross dealt with the new information and how above all else, friendship is what matters the most to these characters. I feel really sorry for both Joey and Rachel though. Enjoy :)

Friends S8 Ep: 15 & 16 - FULL REACTION

If you're fascinated by well trained "dog acting", I'd highly suggest some day checking out Frasier! I already thought to myself the other day I havent seen anyone react to the show, despite it being so good and well known - and you'd probably enjoy its own unique humour and heartwarming storylines/moments like Friends has~ Amazing characters too. Suggestion aside- another lovely reaction as always! This arc always gets to me, the cast do such a stellar job tugging at our hearts...esp the dinner scene with Joey and Rachel 🥺

I don't expect to get a reply, but I'm curious, when do you actually sip your cocoa.? I never see it on screen.

Joey falling in love with rachel while shes pregnant is beautiful honestly. Hes never loved any other girl the way he loves rachel. ❤️

Ep 16 made me cry :'( Poor Joey <3

PumpkinShy

They’re the purest creatures that just want love and want you to be okay.

Oh, absolutely! My boy is only 2 years old, but there have have been only a few times, but still where I’m so depressed that all I want to do is just stay in bed, but I force myself out to let him out and feed him and walk him. There were like maybe two times where my boyfriend who I live with, helped me out with him, and once Brody was back home, he came over and snuggled with me in bed. He’s very much a comfort dog without realizing it.

Teej

Yeah, at this point continuity kind of flies out the window and every episode is a blank slate 🤣

Rhetorical Thrill

I couldn’t remember these episodes, so I was not expecting to cry during that last scene of the second episode… That may have been one of the most heartbreaking moments of the series. I do love that no matter what, those two have each other’s backs. And hugs like that where it’s almost as if the other person’s arms are putting broken pieces together.

Teej

And you have to take care of them no matter what, so there have been times when that was the only thing keeping me going.

Rhetorical Thrill

My heart goes out to Joey during this season. He’s so sweet, and I think most people can relate to this kind of situation where you love someone, but you just can’t be together. It’s a terrible kind of heartbreak. Joey is a good human.

Teej

I feel so badly for Mona. She was so understanding of Ross and Rachel’s friendship and their situation, but I don’t blame her at all for leaving. It’s understandable to have Rachel and Ross live together, but with them being exes and having the history that they do and they’re living together now, it’s a lot for anyone to deal with and it’s good she knows she deserves someone who will be committed to her.

Teej

As someone with major depression, I can confirm that having a dog does indeed help. My golden retriever, Brody, was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. When I’m really down, he is always there to try and make me feel better, and dog snuggles are always comforting.

Teej

I get Ross. My brother is dating my sister's best friend and it's been SO HARD for her. She feels very boxed out and like all the boundaries and dynamics of her life are changing out of her control. Her best friend in the world is now closer to our brother. Our brother, who she's always been close to (I live on the opposite coast unlike them who live locally), spends most of his time with HER best friend. It will never be the same, even if they have a good chance to build something new and beautiful. Ross took Monica and Chandler being together like a champ. Supreme grace. But to have that happen again but between the woman he loved for most of his life/mother of his child and his other best friend... that's brutal. Once is tough but two people close to him pairing off again, especially Rachel, I feel like this was a very understandable reaction. Obviously he let his imagination run away with him a bit, Joey just said they were feelings, but I do get it. I'd feel like the sky was falling, too.

Katie Niekamp

I think Joey and Rachel fit together way better than Ross and Rachel ever did.

I oddly really liked the Joey and Rachel thing, even though she was not into him like that and even though I always shipped Ross and Rachel (in spite of their toxicity sometimes). I love this side of Joey AND Ross so much. It's understandable Ross would find it weird even though he and Rachel are not together like that anymore, but Joey wasn't technically obligated to tell him anything, he just did it because he's a good friend. At the same time, considering Ross and Rachel's history and the fact that they are having a baby together AND living together, his later response to Joey was very sweet and understanding. Anyway, I don't know if I believe in soulmates but I know IF it does exist, it doesn't have to be in a romantic way. It could be best friends. Also, I‘m always a little annoyed with how the others (especially Phoebe) think that Monica can do better than Chandler. Honestly, they‘re the most functional couple on this show. They are so good for each other and make each other better. And did you notice Monica actually wore the dress Ross picked? 😂 Fun fact: In E15, Rachel mentions Nick @ Nite, which is the evening programming on Nickelodeon for adults with a lineup of classic shows, including Friends. Also, Matt LeBlanc received an Emmy nomination for E16. Goofs: At certain parts in E15, Rachel wears a ring on her right ring finger (you can see it best when she is watching the birthing video with Monica & Chandler and lifts her hands to her face). That is Jennifer Aniston's engagement ring from Brad Pitt. It can be seen in more episodes, even though it doesn't make any sense that Rachel would wear one. She also wears her wedding ring on her left hand in several episodes. Joey says to Ross that this is the first time he's actually in love with someone, but he said he was in love with Kate (the actress from the play) in S3. However, this time it did not stem from recent sexual fantasies nor have the two had sex. It also may not have been as deep. Ross tells Mona that the baby started kicking while she was away for the week, but when the baby started kicking in the previous episode, Mona was in town. In fact, Ross kept forgetting he had plans with her. Monica says she doesn't believe in soulmates, but in 7x24, she calls Chandler her soulmate in her wedding vows.

Heida

Poor Mona 🤣 She was great and honestly so perfect for Ross, but it was just the worst possible timing. This is the first time I've seen this season past the first time it aired, and I remember being so annoyed with Joey's crush on Rachel. It felt awkward and weird and like it was some kind of time filler. But now I find it quite moving, which surprises me 💔

Rhetorical Thrill

I really loved the reaction, but it’s something I’m wondering does your family and friends watch your videos?

Emilie D Fredriksen

I second the suggestion :)

Syd

Dogs are very cute also i prefer joey and rachel

Liam

I honestly think Joey and Rachel were healthier than Ross and Rachel 🤷‍♀️
