Friends S8 Ep: 7 & 8 - FULL REACTION

Oh boy. Ross is in bit trouble!! I forgot how intense Rachel's father was and I honestly don't blame her for finding it difficult to break the news to him. Two very hilarious episodes again and I loved the "stripper" incident between Monica and Chandler. Enjoy :)

Yeah that shit's weird lol

I don't think Oscar was ever reacting to the Big Bang Theory. You might be thinking of Nick Reacts?

Natalie Jade Measey

By the way, what happened to the episodes of the Big Bang Theory?

Clara Hines

Ep 7 has some of the best Chandler one liners in my opinion. πŸ˜‚ Chandler and Monica really are couple goals in general though. And I agree, Joey asking Rachel to stay and making the place fit for a baby is one of the sweetest, most selfless things he’s done.

I rarely complain about episodes, but I’m not a huge fan of The One with the Stain and it’s one I tend to skip when rewatching. I really dislike Monica & Chandlers storyline the most in this one, but like you said, that would only work with those two. The Joey/Rachel part where he tries to convince her to stay is sweet and is the only part I like. I feel continuing the Phoebe/Ursula/Eric storyline in this one from the Halloween episode just makes no sense and was just a way to have Sean Penn do another guest spot. Seems like the writers really struggled for content that week. Meanwhile. That scene in ep. 8 between Ross, Mona, and Dr. Green is hilarious!

It is very common to wear shoes inside the house in the USA-- I would even venture to say it's more common than taking one's shoes off. However, I have never seen anyone get in bed with their shoes on unless they are... um, "incapacitated."

I'm all for that, too.

"Stupid guy on my phone!" That line and specifically Matt's delivery is so funny 🀣 Also, all the scenes with Rachel's dad, specifically with Ross and Mona, are hilarious! I agree, Mona handled that VERY well. And I also agree that the stripper thing has never made sense to me. I don't actually know if it's common IRL but the way it's "normalised" in American shows/movies is so bizarre to me, for both men and women. One thing I think is hilarious and something I didn't even know existed, is that my sister hired a guy for one of her friends's bachelorette party, who wasn't necessarily a stripper, but he was naked, as he usually paints the bride-to-be with his penis 🀣 So, he's like a genuine artist, I just could never take that seriously. Translations of the Dutch dialogue in E7: Dutch lady: I'm very honored to meet a friend of my mother's. Ross: Thanks for the coffee. And "Bloemen" - Flowers. Gunther: You speak Dutch? That's cool. Do you have relatives there? Ezel means "donkey" or "ass" (also slang for a dumb person). And later he says "You have sex with donkeys". Ross (at the end): And because I'm such a strong, strapping "alleenstaande" which means single. Fun facts: David Schwimmer directed E8, the 7th of 10 episodes directed by him in the series. The others are 6x06 "The One on the Last Night", 7x04 "TOW Rachel's Assistant", 7x07 "TOW Ross's Library Book", 7x09 "TOW All the Candy", 7x16 "TOW Rachel's Assistant", 8x02 "TOW the Red Sweater", 8x12, 9x05 and 10x09. E7 was dedicated to Pearl Harmon. She was Matt LeBlanc's great grandmother who died on October 26th 2001 at the age of 101. Goofs: A nitpicky thing that has always bugged me is while the maid is cleaning, she gets up on the kitchen counter in her boots. Yet, Monica, who is not only a neat freak but has severe OCD, is perfectly fine with it. It is even more ironic that she is doing it while cleaning. I've always found it weird how in American shows and movies characters wear their shoes inside (sometimes they even get into bed with their shoes on). Is this a real thing or just a TV/movie thing? You mentioned Phoebe blowing off Ross in E7 in order to go on a date, going against what she preached to Joey in the previous season. When Eric is taking out his contact lenses he only takes out one.

Heida

Man, i wish Ross stayed with Mona. She was the best.

Yeah true

Or even the odd poll if he doesn’t want to leave it TOTALLY open to some weird suggestions

Joey did grow up with 7 sisters and was very caring and supportive of them. Im surprised the writers didn't bring this up.

Penny

Season 8, episode 7 is definitely one of my favourites! Joey is so lovely and understanding with Rachel's situation and the baby, their friendship is so sweet and definitely one of my favourites out of all the friends.

elijjah.keziah

That scene with Ross, Mona and Dr. Green is sooooo funny, it destroys me every time I see it xD The call from Joey just makes it even better xD

Samuel
