Friends S8 Ep: 5 & 6 - FULL REACTION
Added 2025-02-02 19:00:05 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed the more heart-felt moments in these two episodes and seeing Ross and Rachel bond over this baby. I was also really impressed with Phoebe in these two episodes. She was really wise and did the right thing when she had every right not to. Enjoy :)

2025-02-02 21:02:38 +0000 UTCI agree about the moment between Joey and Ross, it was really sweet. Joey may be dumb sometimes but he's a good friend and he has his moments of wisdom. Also, you didn't seem to recognise Sean Penn as Ursula's fiancé. It's funny because in 2x18, Chandler and Eddie (his psycho roommate after Joey moved out) talked about him in regards to the capital of Cambodia, which is Phnom Penh and can be misheard as Sean Penn. Fun and not so fun fact: Sean Penn was married to Madonna. He was accused of domestic abuse but later she denied it. Her third studio album, True Blue, is dedicated to him. Sad fact: E5 is dedicated to Courteney Cox's father who passed away from cancer a month before it aired. Also, it's the first episode shot after 9/11. Production was delayed for two weeks because the table read for this episode was originally scheduled for September 11th. At the beginning of the episode, Joey is wearing a t-shirt bearing the logo of the Fire Department of New York. Lisa Kudrow has cited this as her favourite ep., partially because it was the first one they shot after 9/11 and people would thank her for still making them laugh in that dark period. Fun facts: In comic lore, Catwoman would always lose against Supergirl. After all, Supergirl is an alien with superpowers while Catwoman is just a normal human. Btw, I recommend the show Supergirl but it's better to watch Arrow and Flash first since they are all a part of the "Arrowverse" and even did cross-overs. Ross telling Rachel about how she'll feel the first time her baby grabs her finger is a nice callback to when he talked to Jack about the first time he felt like a father. Chandler's favourite book, The Velveteen Rabbit, is the same as Kathy's which he got for her. Goofs: In E5, in Central Perk when Phoebe is trying to convince Monica not to fire Tim, right after Monica says "I paid to have this done" (the hair), when the camera changes and Phoebe replies "Love it", it is quite clearly not Courteney Cox in the shot but a stand-in. She even has her hair styled differently. People have only started to notice it in the last few years because the versions on streaming sites are widescreen, unlike when they were originally aired on TV. Chandler suggests Phoebe would win over Monica in a fight but he and others have said several times how strong Monica is. Same goes for Ross but he and Chandler seem to be pretty even here. Monica and Chandler's wedding was in May. Roughly 4 weeks earlier, Rachel got pregnant. Therefore, she should be over 6 months along around Halloween yet she isn't showing.
