X2: X-Men United - FULL REACTION

I thought this one was a huge step up from an already great first film! I was worried about the runtime initially but it felt full of interesting plots and fights that I never got bored. I am very curious as to where the story is going though after the teaser at the end... Enjoy :)

X2: X-Men United - FULL REACTION

Have you tried not being a mutant. Almost sound similar to "have you tried not being gay" doesnt it?

Ahto Põder

He's definitely already seen some of the MCU, but I would also like him to do a full reaction watch through from start to finish for all of the MCU movies, even the ones he's seen, but just let us know which ones will be first time reactions.

Recable

Definitely do not skip them.

X-3 is a big step down, and that’s being generous. X-Men First Class is very good, Logan and Days of Future Past are excellent. Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix and the two Wolverine movies had a more mixed reception. And I’m one of I guess three or four people left on Earth unable to appreciate Deadpool in any way, shape, or film. But if you’re among the folks who enjoy adolescent bloodletting, shooting people in the head, and making light of human life, you’ll probably love Deadpool. God help us.

sfkeepay

I keep checking for an update thinking if he's not sick or something.

T W

Has Oscar gone missing?

Christian Walker

I'd skip the rest of the X-Men with the exception of Logan. Maybe Future Past.

Can’t wait for you to watch part 3!!

Sage Martinez

The mutant who can change his skin into armor - Colossus - is super strong, one of several (and the usual one) to be able to throw Wolverine as a weapon (called the "fastball special"). (Another is Beast.) Remember Colossus for when you get to the Deadpool spinoff movies.

Brian Nix

Omg My Big Fat Greek Wedding please 🙏🇬🇷

Bungus Fungus

PLEASE PLEASE react to the marvel universe movies after this series 🙏 you’d love them

Brian Synger said that the scene in Bobby's house was absolutely a "going out of the closet" situation. X-men was always a metaphor for discrimination.

I was a nerd kid when i watched this in the theatre and i was a huge *spolier* fan. Everytime we see glipses of *spoiler* i was jumping on my seat.

X-men films are similar in themes to Harry Potter films in a way...both films are about a group of individuals who are fighting against bigotry (and frankly for their actual survival in some cases, and this happens way too often) against their kind. In Harry Potter it was pure bloods against everyone else, in X-men it is mutant against humans...and it ties into real life as well. We have groups that are discriminated against for being different as well...based on race, skin color, sexual preference, gender identity, religion, political beliefs, it goes on, and on. and on...but WHY? What is the point, and what do the bigots get out of it in the end really?.... it is one of, if not the biggest evils in this world, and there are reoccurring instances of this in all media types, but the biggest example was during WW2 which was the holocaust (which included the killing of not only 6 million Jews, but also homosexuals, and handicapped and other groups as well.) The bigotry and yes HATE against anyone who is "different", and it happens to be mirrored, and brought to our face IF only we pay attention, and CARE, it is alluded to in literature, theater, film, and our society in many forms sometimes to our shame, and endangerment, and on the other hand, sometimes it is to speak out, and work against it, or remind us it is (still) there. The lack of empathy, and the over abundance of apathy is our biggest enemies especially apathy in US society currently in my opinion. PLEASE be a beacon of hope, and stand in solidarity with those who oppose bigotry in all it's forms, our future depends on it as a world society. If you pay particularly close attention to the plot of these films both X-men, and Harry Potter they are in a very subtle ways trying to remind us of this fact. Call it out when you see something that is not right, and stand by the truly down trodden, and abused, and mistreated, not people complaining because they cannot have their way, or control others to do as they want or say them must do every time, and in every way, but really are being discriminated against just because they are "different". Jesus, Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, Confucius, Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, and many others (these were but a few) I feel would unabashedly agree with me. Please think about it. I am now officially getting down off my soap box, sorry for the long posted comment. Brian

Brian Matthews

He was also the original Hannibal Lecter.

Tim Heron

Wild, isn't it? I mean, they must have been awake 20 hours straight (or more!) every shooting day.

Maisie

I would never remember that "Logan Roy" (Bryan Cox, Succession) was Stryker on this lol

msandiego

Rebecca’s was 7-9 hours

Rhetorical Thrill

I was so pleasantly surprised watching the first one over here because it had been so long. It was really refreshing to see the old school comic movie again.

Rhetorical Thrill

Your observation about how tedious the makeup process for Mystique is was spot on--Jennifer Lawrence said her makeup in X-Men first class took 8 hours to put on and two to take off every single shooting day. She had to stand or sit on a bicycle seat for the entire eight hours. I imagine the process for the first Mystique was similar.

Maisie

This isnt a spoiler for the movies, but in the Comics, there are a handful of Omega level muants (Mutants so strong they could destroy the world) and Jean, magneto, Storm and the frost guy are on there as the ones we know from X-Men. So if we go by comics Jean is one of the absolute strongest

Mikkel Øberg

Really excited for you to continue with this franchise! It's very nostalgic for me and always a fun watchthru :)

Emily Chan

The opening scene is one of the all time best, not just in superhero moveis, in movies period!

Mikkel Øberg

X2 is my favorite super hero movie... it's such a shame that marvel become just a buch of stupid jokes nowadays.

Bruno G.

The Last Unicorn!!!

Kitty Underwood

Nightcrawler is such a tragic character. He does look very frightening but he's the sweetest, kindest, gentlest character in the entire X-universe. Bruh, the final shot of this made the entire theater go INSANE. Anyone who knew anything about X-Men was so hyped for the next one...

Rhetorical Thrill

I am so *curious* about how he'd respond to Deadpool 🤣

Rhetorical Thrill

It would be a license to print money if they could just get it right 🥺

Rhetorical Thrill

You haven't seen anywhere near Jeans power level yet! X-Men The Last Stand is next , then X-Men Origins: Wolverine, then X-Men First Class is a prequel that sets up Charles and Eric meeting.

Steven Jump

The best moment in this trilogy- "Will you DIE for them?!"

"Survival of the fittest" That's one way to look at things. A very enjoyable time, mate.

Jim Schmitz

I'm not the biggest fan of the dark phoenix but I like the other timeline films and if you can go with the thought of other timelines you can enjoy the new parts as well

Astoria

Thanks thought it would be just my TV doing crazy things with the sounds

Astoria

Oh fun!! Thanks for uploading. I'm enjoying watching them with you. I hope we get all the way up through Deadpool some day--can't wait to see your reaction to him lol.

Maisie

PS, not sure if this is only me or if anyone else is noticing this, but lately in some of these movie reactions the movie itself is a bit quiet compared to your audio. If you can turn up the movie volume a bit that would be great. TY friend

Midnight Crypt Worx

Yay I'm so glad you are watching these. The girl in the bar that is Mystique, that's Rebecca Romijn, she's actually the actress that plays Mystique in the makeup.

Midnight Crypt Worx

kurt's character was such a great addition to the team, i feel like he adds a sense of levity that balances the seriousness of the other x-men

Lola Salomon

Been looking forward to this since you released the first one! Your comment about Nightcrawler liking Mystique is hilarious because in the comics, Mystique is actually Nightcrawler's mother.

Lawson Lim

it was splendid thank you very much😂🤭

Alicia Cue

Hope you enjoy your bowl 😂😉

Edualy

there are many x-men movies. but it gets pretty confusing. so there are three movies in this trilogy. the ones that come after last stand, starting with first class arent sequels or anything but more a soft relaunch on the franchise.

Alicia Cue

oh yesssss this is the one along with the next one you’ll watch, Last Stand are the ones i would rewatch over and overrrr growing up. nightcrawler’s introduction scene is still one of the coldest in any super hero movie imo soooo excited for you to watch this one! and just in time for me to smoke my bowl too lmao gods timing

Alicia Cue

Oooo can’t wait :) Day 26: of suggestions my girl (1991) 🤍

Emilie Fredriksen

Yes!!! Thank you, Oscar.
