I've not seen it recommended yet I don't think but if you are ever looking for a good musical, you should check out Moulin Rouge. It has Ewan Mcgregor and Nicole Kidman as the main pair of protagonists but a wonderful cast and music list. It starts out a bit weird but rounds out well

2024-10-30 01:09:26 +0000 UTCI love movies and I don't have very high standards, so it doesn't really take a lot for me to find a movie enjoyable and to have a good time, but every once in a while something like The Wild Robot will come along and remind me (almost violently) what a beautiful, breathtaking, fantastic *art form* it is. This is the third time I've watched it this month and I've listened to the soundtrack for hours and hours and it still gets me right in the feels. It's going to stay with me for a long, long time..! I'm so very excited for you to watch The Croods! I was the only one in any of my social circles who liked it back when it came out so I had to fight its corner a lot, and I have a huge soft spot for it still, it's lovely!

2024-10-30 00:33:51 +0000 UTCKind of a last minute suggestion, but for Halloween I can't recommend enough checking out Wallace & Gromit The Curse of the Were-Rabbit :) Very underrated, but won the Academy Award when it came out. Hilarious and fun, and packed with British humor---I feel like you'd have a great time watching it

The story, score and animation are so beautiful 🥹 So glad I saw it on the big screen. I’ve been telling everyone to go see it. I’m so excited to see your reaction when I get home!

2024-10-29 09:35:14 +0000 UTCEdit: I was the same as you I had no knowledge of this film but just knowing it was by DreamWorks, I kinda knew I was gonna be emotional, but I did not expect me to cry dis much of a relationship between a robot and a goose, that I did not see coming, this was an awesome reaction and I’m right there with you with the painting and animation style and the music. It was just amazing.

Kit Connor voices Brightbill and hes in the show Heartstopper which I adore so I had to watch this when I heard he voiced him! And of course the amazing cast of voice actors too (like Mark Hamill as the bear surprised me!)
