Hotel Transylvania 2 - FULL REACTION
Added 2024-09-12 20:43:20 +0000 UTCI was not expecting this movie to jump so far ahead into the lives of Johnny and Mavis. The relationship between Dracula and Dennis was adorable and the goofiness in this movie was dialled up so much compared to the first one! Enjoy :)

Personally, my favourite is actually the third instalment it’s super fun and really sweet. Also, I don’t suppose you’re ever going to react to minions as part of your despicable me reactions? The first minions movie at least is super charming id love to see you watch it

Like you said, wanting an "easier" life for Dennis, probably wanting to have something to bond over, teach him about, etc. And it's not a huge deal, it just felt like they were setting it up for him to be human and at the last second decided to pivot.

But I think that's just him assuming his life would be better as one, rather than wanting to change him because he's "weird", etc.

2024-09-13 04:56:51 +0000 UTCSo about when you said the movie seems like it's in a way about racism, I think it can be used for that but I think it more matches things that people think can be changed and are thought of as abnormal by them, like sexualities (them being homophobia) or disabilities (they think they can be fixed/they're strange/abnormal), etc, as a lot of the time they keep saying about his "normality".

2024-09-13 00:34:58 +0000 UTCI like this one, but yeah, I agree that making Dennis a vampire in the end felt a bit like a cop-out. They had a really great storyline going on and I think Drac actually coming to terms with Dennis being fully human was the natural end to that. It's a lot easier to say Drac would accept him no matter what when he got what he wanted in the end. But of course, vampire is more fun, so I guess they wanted to have their cake (Cakee?) and eat it too.
