To everyone who was excited for this Steam launch (as well as myself), I'm disappointed to share that Steam has rejected my game and won't allow appeal or resubmission. My art style appears to be too cute for Steam to handle, even after the changes to Aya, Arc, Stella, and all the other adorable characters. I bent over backwards to make sure this game would be approved and I feel hurt by this so much. Your continued support here on Patreon means so much to me, especially when I would have relied on Steam to safely support myself otherwise.
I'm in a place of desperation currently, and am seeking your advice as to where the project will go from here. I no longer trust Steam to publish my adult games and was living with this worst case scenario for the past year since it happened to several of my other friends' games.
I have a few ideas as to what to do, including releasing STRIP Cards under a new title with SFW mode permanently enabled (as to avoid the sexual content that it was rejected for), or I could completely return the characters back to their original designs before I tried to change everything for Steam. I'd love to have a discussion with everyone in the replies so we can focus on making this a positive rejection. I'm generally optimistic but right now I feel so defeated.
This also affects how my future games (Splash 'n Flash, Bottomless Mines, Arc's BJ Training) will be designed going forward. Please leave your unfiltered suggestions below and I'll read all of them. 🙏
