Feedback Forms
Added 2019-11-14 22:01:00 +0000 UTCI've been in contact with Carbon, a dev of Minotaur Hotel as far as how best to collect data and what they're using over there. While I'm setting up the form, I figured I'd throw it out there to see if what I've got currently brewing is what will work for most people.
Essentially I'm thinking of adding an option to the main menu (at least while the game is in development) that will simply be "Submit Feedback", What this will do is take you to a GoogleForms survey and there'll be options to fill in there. So far, plan is to have this in the next build.
The idea would be a generalised form over the game as a whole, but would people rather have the space to write out what they want to say, or have stuff literally just boiled down to various levels of "Was it good or bad?"
On top of that, would you prefer something more specific to each build? I can go either way, but knowing which way people lean always helps.
Of course, this doesn't invalidate the option of sending feedback both good and especially the bad, directly in either messages via Patreon, Discord, or courier pigeon. Really, hit me with thoughts and complaints any time, and while I may not reply right away, I do read everything sent my way.

I'd also prefer specific questions to guide feedback. I'm never really sure what to do when it's too open-ended, but a few prompting questions help immensely.

Is it just the lack of stuff happening on their chest or are you just expecting them to be more humanoid? I think I remember someone else bringing this up before but it might've been you just earlier. Outside of that, no one else has said anything either way.

2019-11-19 08:09:48 +0000 UTCSeconding this. As I play, I may notice something, but in the interest of keeping the flow, I tend to just keep going. Perhaps adding a text box to the main menu with what kind of feedback is being sought could help with getting useful data?

2019-11-14 23:12:24 +0000 UTCI would like it if you left some small comments about specific issues or parts that you would like feedback on. I tend to blank out when writing on something so open. Plus I think you might get some more helpful feedback if you point out some stuff specifically. I do not know if the feature for the googleforum survey might included something like that as an option but it might be a good idea? Or maybe to just have a big list of questions for people to look at. Again might create some more specific responses. I know you have issues with people saying "Password is good" and not getting into the details. I think the only issue with the idea is that doing it might make people focus on only a few questions and setting something like that up, I would have no idea how to even begin. Hope it helps😋
