Mugs and stickers from Patreon Merch

let me thank you all again for becoming and until now keep supporting DietPi as Patrons.
After processing the last 3 "Optimized" tier mug rewards, I was hoping some of you can help me with some questions that came up.
Global inflation seems to have reached merchandise and shipping costs. For us, both varies depending on the location of the recipient, but the last 3 mugs did cost us more than the monthly tier price, platform fees and payment feeds come on top. Since most Patrons stay longer, it is not an urgent issue, but leaving after a month is legit and should not cost us more than no membership.
We are currently ordering mugs and stickers at VistaPrint, and I am highly satisfied with the quality of their products. My personal mug received 2019 (or earlier) is heavily used for coffee fueling and regularly sees the dishwasher, but still has strong colours.
I was hence considering to raise the related tier price, i.e. creating a new "Optimized" tier and unpublishing the existing one. So existing Patrons wouldn't be affected, but new ones will cover overall mug costs from the first month on.
While reading into it, I recognised that Patreon has an own merchandise program when switching to at least "Pro" plan, which includes stickers and mugs for a much lower price. I have to do some math to check whether it is worth it, but I am more concerned about the quality and customisability, hence my questions:
1. Do you have experience with the mugs or stickers from the Patreon merchandise from another membership or as creator?
2. If so, is the quality satisfying, e.g. do the mug's colours survive long-term dishwasher usage? Or could you even compare those mugs or stickers to the one(s) you received from us?
3. Is it possible to customise each Patron's mug?
Individual words are important to me. This is also the reason why for stickers I'll most likely keep things as they are, to be able to keep adding the personal letter. Would be still interesting to hear about experiences with the Patreon Merch stickers or the system in general.

I also think keeping the same price and if you want to do rewards, I also agree with having them wait two or three months for it. Your not here as a charity and I hope that you keep your numbers in the black. Thank you for asking us!

That for most of you the rewards are not that important (at least not the physical good, but rather the personal letter), but supporting this project, is a good argument against raising our Patreon plan, keeping platform costs at a minimum. I just went with Fabian's idea and added a note to the mug tier, that it will be shipped after the second pledge was processed, just to rule out that we pay on top for single month memberships. I also removed the membership limitation for this tier, as there is not really any reason for it, no possibly ongoing efforts for it our end or DietPi banner space ;).
